The thing that he got beaten up would be more believable when u consider the fact the he was accused of possesing an AK56 riffle and hiding weapons that were used in bombay bomb blast back in the days.... At the time the sentiment of the people were more with the city and with the gruesome incident that resulted in lives of many. So people really believed he has done wrong and rather than sharing a fan boy moment and treating him a special he had to face the wrath of those who got him in custody.

One of Rnabir's best performances. I don't care if they exaggerated the story for cinematic effect but all these scenes are emotionally charged, especially with the song Har maidan Fateh playing in the background. Sanjay Dutta isn't an easy character to portray without appearing comically caricaturish because of his unique style. But Ranbir hit it out of the park

About Torture..Being from a Law enforcement department I can tell one thing that There are certain criminals who won't confess until you beat them up and Its important to make them confess,I do agree in most of the cases officers misuse Torture,it happens mostly in general stations by Mid or low rank officers..But Not all officers can beat up a criminal.. Sometimes we have to bring some special officers,constables from other stations or departments who have that strength & technique.. Recently in one murder case a station had to bring 3 constables from 3 stations to make the culprit speak about the person who hired them..As the culprit won't speak under normal interogation..
