This is also hometown of Dr. Abdul Kalam, former president of India. He infact was budied here and there is a memorial here. In his childhood. he was selling news paper at Dhanushkodi and Rameswaram. Srilanka is 18 nautical miles from Dhanushkodi (they say one can see lights of Srilanka from Dhanushkodi). In the 60s whole railway station of Dhanushkodi was inundated into ocean due to a cyclone, so you can see the rail line going into ocean even now. Dhanushkodi is a ghost town, Rameswaram is the Indian facing side and Dhanushkodi is Lanka facing side of the island.

That's bridge started from somewhere from Dhanuskodi the last land of India . He forgot to tell one thing and many of you might not know this, while going towards RMM on the left side you have Bay of Bengal and on right what you're seeing is Arabian sea... Also at Dhanushkodi all three Bay of Bengal, Arabian sea and Indian ocean meet together.

Wrong information. Rameshwaram doesn't have connection with Arabian sea and indian ocean directly. All around it's bay of Bengal. What u told is correct for kanniyakumari.

Iman and moazam Bhai Mai rameshwaram ko two time visit kar chuka hu. Pamban bridge 2km ka hai. Yaha pe rameshwaram jyotirling hai jo sriram ji ne banaya hai . Ram setu Dhanushkodi se start hota hai jo rameshwaram se 13 km hai. Iman aap gale ke liye 15 to 20 Tulsi ke patte, Kala namak, aur Black paper 1glass pani me ubalker piye 3 days me aapa ka gala thick ho jayaga.

New Pamban bridge is constructed by Indian Railways, it will be a double electric railway line when it will complete in March 2022. New Pamban bridge will also facilitate "vertical lift" mechanism for crossing of big ships.

IT'S IN MY MEMORIES.......IN 2013 WHEN I WAS 10yrs OLD, I WAS THERE IN RAMESHWARAM THE MONTH WAS DECEMBER AND BEAUTIFUL AND SCENIC PAMBAN BRIDGE AND WHOLE RAM KI NAGRI RAMESHWARAM......THE BLUE SCENIC OCEAN.....I STILL REMEMBER WHEN FIRST TIME I DIVE INTO THE BREEZY WATER I GET DROWNED...BUT IT WAS A FUN EXPERIENCE...AND ONCE IN A LIFE ITS A PLACE TO VISIT.....BELIEVE ME!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

By the way when I visited, water near temple at Rameshwaram was very dirty. Dhanuskodi has clean water but it's too risky to dive there.

Tamil Nadu mein aam logon ke saat koi language problem nahin hai, jo aapko 'manage' karna padta hai...agar aapko sirf hindi maloom hai, toh problem ho sakta hai, utna hi, jitna ek person jo sirf Tamil baat kar sakta hai aur suddenly hindi heartland mein pahunch jaata hai. Learn to learn more languages, learn to communicate....bas hai.. that is the beauty of India. Celebrate it. Enjoy it. Savour it. Right. Tamilnadu people are very helpful in nature. My personal experience. I am from Gujarat. I lived for 3 years in tamilnadu in coimbatore and trichy. Initially little difficult to communicate but I learnt Tamil spoken as well as reading writing and was very awesome experience. Still missing those days, people and lovely food. I don't understand why people from Indore always have a condescending attitude towards every other city. I mean, Madhya Pradesh GDP per capita is below India's average mark. Most of Hindus who have done Kashi (Varanashi) yatra, must have also done and visited Rameshwaram as there is a tradition that whoever goes to Kashi temple as part of their pilgrimage, must also visit Rameshwaram Shiva temple to complete the journey. There is a very old and important Shiva temple in Rameshwaram which is considered to be one of 12 Jyothirlinga temples. Lots of pilgrims visit this temple although nowadays most of them visit on road through Shankar Road Bridge.

You are right submerged ram setu starts after Dhanushkodi till sri lanka. Also lord Ram came lastly here and that's why it's called Rameshwaram.Also Bandra-Worli sea link is 5.3 km long and 21 km long Nava sheva-Sewri sea link is under construction in mumbai❤️❤️

Old Pamban Bridge ka sath New Pamban Bridge ban raha jo ki double line bridge hoga or ab Indian government dubara se revive kr rhi h woh railway line jo distroy ho gayi thi 1960s main. Ab govt Rameswaram se dhanushkodi thak dubara line bana rhi hai

It started in 1911 and completed in just 3 years ,while road bridge running side by side of this bridge took 14 years( 1974-1988) to be completed. The new double track electrified and vertical lift passage for ships is to be targeted to be completed in march 2022 but it will take at least 5 more years to be fully operational if the current rate of work is maintainedn

Raneswaram is the birth place of Dr.Abdul Kalam was the President of Bharat. Rameswaram Temple of Siva. Which has the longest Corridor of India. lord Sri Ram installed this temple. Dhanushkodi is approximately 28 km from railway station It is Near Srilanka. Good and Cheap Seafood is available 😅

This bridge has two girders in between which are opened up when there is no train(means girders are turned 90 degree ) so that the ships going from West to east can pass. The new bridge under construction will have sliding girders which will be pulled up to give way to ships.

I was there in 2015. It was an unforgettable experience. The man on the bridge must be a railway personnel on maintenance duty. Because no other persons are allowed to walk on this bridge.

I think you follow his vlog on Dhanushkodi...I went to Rameshwar by car as u might have seen a bridge which is by road....( 5 year ago)....have seen in his video at the end talking about 1964... hope so...it's a fact ....but you should see the Dhanushkodi place where the ghost place....but there is a shiv temple ..on the outer you can see stones very very big which floating....so the Ramayana is true... please please do research before you react()

The Ram Setu Bridge is in Rameswaram itself. I had been to Rameswaram once in 2011. I had no idea, about the Pamban Bridge, nor did I see it. Maybe the train I was travelling in crossed it at night, while we were sleeping. We did go to see the Ram Setu Bridge, but we're unable to see it, due to high tide. We had to leave the same night, so it was an opportunity lost

Egmore station in chennai houses all southern bound trains, built by the British. Other station is Central which houses north bound trains. Pamban bridge is an engineering marvel. I had an experience traveling on it

20:00 they are track maintenance employees. Nice video Iman ji and Moazam bhai. You can see this bridge in the movie Chennai Express. I have been there twice . Actually I was named after Rameshwaram. My name is Rameshwar and I am from Telangana Bharat. Here in Rameshwaram you have a big and famous temple. You can see big stones floating on the water. Ram Setu is near Dhanushkodi. You can see this very clearly. From this place Sri Lanka is very near and you are not allowed to stay there after 6:00 PM . They say that you can see the light house lights of Sri Lanka.
