40 wagons, 1 brake van plus loco. In India, coal rakes are typically around 59 wagons. In selected sections, long rakes run with one full rake attached with a second full rake, means two locos, 118 wagons and 2 brake vans. Recently, video of an anaconda rake went viral where 3 fill rakes were amalgamated one after another, means one full rake with loco plus loco at the intermediate rake followed by the rake then the third rake with loco. In US, goods rakes are even longer. Thanks for sharing good pictures.

Im a big rail fan. Here in India, normally freight wagon trains are consist of 60 wagons atleast with a single locomotive. The counting goes beyond if double locomotives are used.

Thats great. Actually we dont have loop lines that big otherwise this locomotive is easily capable to pull 80+ wagons.

@@PakRailography I think this locomotive is around 4100-4500 HP range segment, in India it is known as WDG4 for goods train and WDP4 for mail express train, while for electric route WAP 5 & WAP 7 (6100 & 6660 HP) these diesel locomotive are EMD based hence have low smoke than ALCO, I love the sound of these diesel beast.
