Honda Pakistan is giving a bad name to the Honda brand. They have literally degraded the quality over time, I can clearly hear the sound of tires in this reviewed City. The Cabin noise is also quite a lot. I have had Civic in Pakistan and also in Canada and there is a HUGE difference in the quality. A very good review! Keep up the good work!

There are some technological salient features that were missed here Mr. Sunil. I have booked a 1.5 aspire CVT. Before booking I had a look and test drove both Toyota Yaris and Honda City. Let me share you some details about the Smart Entry system in both these cars. The technology of Honda’s Smart Entry is years ahead of Toyota. Let’s take an example; if you are placing luggage in your car’s trunk and accidentally leave your key (Key FOB) in there and close the truck, Toyota Yaris will close it, and you will be locked out of your car and won’t be able to enter. In Honda City, in the same scenario, as soon as the truck is closed with the key still inside, there will be a beep given by the car and the trunk will automatically open itself. This will let you take the key out of the trunk. Further if you leave your car engine running and walk out of the car with the key, Yaris will not give you any signal about an engine running. But in City, there will be a beep and the driver will be notified. If you leave your key inside your car, when engine is off, step out of the car, manually lock the door via the door lock button and close the door. Yaris will let you close it and you will be locked out of your car. In City the door lock will open automatically and let you get in and pick up the key. In other words, Toyota Yaris’ smart entry is just for getting in your car and driving with a push of a button. It will not care if you are miles away from home and accidentally lock your key inside. Then there is a difference in both the cars’ engine generation. Comparison is of top of the line 1.5 engines. Toyota Yaris is a 4th Gen DOHC engine, it is older and less powerful. Honda City is giving a 6th Gen SOHC engine, which produces more Horsepower and Torque. Then there is a clear driving experience difference. I drove both these cars, drove Yaris a bit more as an extended family member bought it recently and I had that luxury. I found that the drive of Honda City is much more smoother. All in all, there are a few concerns that I have with Honda as well; or let’s say with the Pakistan’s automotive industry, regardless of the brand name. The features that we, as consumers, are provided in Pakistan for any car are trimmed down. You can see that there is a sunroof option available in Honda City in other countries. Toyota Yaris has electronic seat adjustment available and roof mounted AC air vents for the rear passengers abroad as well. These are features that could have been made available easily but were not. Then the biggest concern that I have as a Honda City buyer is with the delivery time. Like you have to wait 8 months to get your hands on the car. Also there are some reviews from people who bought the car by paying extra OWN money. Honda City does not have fender splash shields inside the wheel wells, this is really cheap of Honda. Providing such body parts should not have been a problem for them. Was it cost cutting, or just a who cares approach, I don’t know. But Pakistani automotive industry has no standards governing body so anything goes. In my opinion, the decision to go for Honda City was purely because of the tech comparison. As for the company’s policy to skip on delivering minor things such as wheel well shields, or better material in trunk lining or missing hood lining makes me sad. Honda should have better standards than this.

Yaris 1.5 Cvt Ativ X is a better choice because of value for money, cruise control can be installed for 5000, for shape - you can install best body kit for only 30k and its fully loaded.. last but not the least, it has already penetrated the market (since 2020) so its parts are readily available and insurance is cheaper… go do your research.. Yaris Ativ is a better car in my view …

1.6 altis is better in terms of built quality, Comfort and suspension otherwise it doesn't have any features and fuel average is crap 9 10 in city with ac. Its transmission is worst the so called SuperECT while in other countries even 1.6 comes with CVT. As compared to city it doesn't have cruise(even you can't install aftermarket), No Keyless Entry, No Push start, No digital climate Control, no DRLs, No retractable mirrors, No rear Ac vents, worst fuel average. Worldwide even 1.6 comes with a lot of features. I am just trying to say that 1.6 even doesn't justify its price. Toyota should also be criticised for not launching new corolla in 2018. Best cars in corolla range is GLI manual or top of the line Grande because GLI auto is crap not just in terms of fuel average but also in terms of drive. Its Underpower. On the other hand Grande comes with a lot of features and CVT transmission which gives 10 11 in city with ac and at the same time it have better pick as compared to civic. Note: I am not encouraging people to buy the All New Honda Shitty because it is too overpriced and built quality is not good.

Yaris looks a bit congested interior wise. Next it was either Altis 1.6 or Aspire..the dealer told us Altis 1.6 is on hold at the moment.. So taking no bookings. What options are you left with ...sadly the monopoly of this industry leaves us with limited choices...

Being the owner of both the new City and Yaris, I have to say that City build quality is pethatic. Doors are so light and feels like mehran also its cabin noise and suspension is third class. Yaris on the other hand is much more sturdy and comfortable.

In the same review, I never bought a Toyota Later in the review I have Toyota Altis at home Comparing Toyota shocks to Honda's, this guys is never really into cars just owns them. The review should've been of a person who was anxiously waiting for Honda City. I don't like it but I think there could've been a better candidate for the review who also pointed out the pros. So you want to force your opinion on others. Did you not hear him say that Altis sways on turns while City remains planted. He also mentioned Altis takes a while to know when to shift (up/down), but his opinion didn't fancy you enough. City is the most sold car in umpteen countries in the world and is the segment leader in many of them despite its suspension setup and drive which you clearly abhor. Altis 1.6 has an obsolete transmission which lags. You don't want to drive a car because it looks bigger, however, you want a city car which is reliable and fun to drive.
