In india diesel cars sell as much as petrol. Midsize cars are 70 percent diesel cars and premium cars like Audi merc are 95 percent diesel sales. Only very small cars are petrol. So we have a saying in india, Honda makes the best petrol cars and Toyota makes the best diesel cars. I have never sat in a petrol fortuner. Until last gen there was no petrol fortuner. Now also 95 percent fortuners are diesel.

But "Not a single uninsured new car", "95% of all old cars being insured"? Where did you get those numbers? I can't find any single site claiming that. Instead, there are sites claiming there are over 50% uninsured vehicles running on Indian roads.
