Honda HRV Pass ya Fail? Expert Review

Okay, I just got Honda HRV vti-s and will share my honest bit with car enthusiast and potential buyers. Looks and style are a killer especially in black (mine is black too). Interior gives you a very premium and a spacious feel. The drive is superb with great handling and road presence. The best thing about this car is its cabin noise which is so well controlled that you hardly hear outdoor noise.Tires are soft but a bit noisy. Engine is not a beast but still responsive and not underpowered in any way. Suspension is great. Surprisingly fuel mileage is outstanding for this car. It gives me 14-15 in city and about 16 on motorway if driven with a light foot and below 120kmph with rpm at about 2.5. I have even cloaked 20kmpl. I have a civic RS turbo 2021 but feel fun driving HRV. I hardly miss the cruise control option but if provided would have been more fun. Those driving Mehran's and commenting about HRV being underpowered is beyond me. I will rate this car way better than the Chinese and Korean cars in this price range.

Peugeot is much more attractive car for the same price range, nobody should ever think of choosing this over peugeot, which has apple carplay/android auto, sunroof, sensors, dynamic lines in reverse, full LED brake and headlights, cruise control. Theres no comparison.

Quite a few missing features like sunroof, cruise control, CarPlay, paddle shifters, stability control, tpms, ambient lights, cool box, auto dimming mirror, etc also all cars in this class are using imported tires. And the fact is that its priced near shortage, Tucson, oshan and MG which are much larger than it. In my opinion represents poor value for money

Your expert reviews lack information on the performance of the suspension of vehicles. I am someone who gives a lot of importance to the suspension of vehicles while making a purchase decision. So please do include suspension tests such as driving the vehicle through a road that is extremely bumpy and has lots of potholes etc. Adding this one aspect into your reviews would make them more authentic. @@MuhammadImranMalik92 I think the reason he's saying that is because Honda might not be considering other crossovers as it competition. Maybe they're considering itself as the competition, I'm talking about Civic. By pricing it lower than the Civic, they're balancing out the buying decision of consumers. At one point you have Civic, a sedan with more features but higher price tag and on the other point you have H-RV, a less featured vehicle but it's a crossover which is all the rage right now. If they had given it all the required features then no one would've bought Civic at a higher price tag, that just wouldn't have made sense on consumers end and Civic's sales would have dropped massively. But now people will have a choice. This is just my theory, it could be wrong.

Watching this review in August 2024 and the current price of its top variant is 79 lac. This is in line with the mid-option version of Tucson, Shortage and HS whereas all these vehicles offer much more options, cabin room and boot space. There's no reason to buy Honda HR-V with this price. However, one thing that I'd be interested in knowing is whether we can get the Honda Sensing kit fitted into HR-V after buying it. If that is possible (at an affordable price) then one could possibly think of buying it on 0% markup option being offered by Honda.

Really disappointing 'expert' review. No comparisons with competition and trying to justify the glaring weaknesses of the vehicle. Would you really buy this vehicle in this price bracket based on an 'expert' opinion? It is unfortunate that the channel has become too big and comfy with these car companies to give honest verdicts. Otherwise they know they won't get exclusives from the company in terms of launch information or early testing. This is truly not an expert review. It is more like information sharing. Which would also be ok if you guys have limitations but don't portray yourselves as experts who give honest verdicts.
