I have a "Honda City steermatic 06 " since 2015. I have made tours of Karachi, of Khunjerab pass, Swaat and of Skardu via Astore, Deosai in it. Its a solid car with very robust engine. The exhaust makes a beautiful sound on high RPM along with heartwarming VTEC sound of engine. Its seven speed mode is a blessing. It even left behind hilux surf and prado on the ascent of babusar top, mind you, where it carried 5 passengers and a fully loaded trunk. Mashalah !

I have honda steermatic 2007. Fuel average is 13 with AC in city. Very awesome car. And very reliable. I use honda 0W-30 synthetic oil and changed after every 5000 interval.. Very smooth

The gear issue is because of CVT as this car came equipped with a CVT gear box and most of us don't know when to change CVT oil. Plus there are other precautions while driving a CVT.i had a 2006 Honda city Vario 1.3 in immaculate condition. Kept it for 9 years and sold it because it's transmission gave problems in the end. The only solution to that is to buy a KABLI transmission and replace it because once CVT life is over, it's useless to repair it, its dead. As a precautionary measure change the CVT oil after every 50k if you want your CVT to last longer.

We hv a city 2004 model in excellent condition which we bought in 2010 and was used by a person in neighbours since 2004_10. We hv decided never to sell this car. We hv bought several other cars but never thought to sale it .

At the time of launch of this car Vario didn't get popular because it had CVT and at that time CNG was the cry of the day. Most ppl opted for it's manual transmission rather than CVT as CVT don't go well with CNG. It's been a few years and the hike in CNG prices that Vario city is again in business.

Owner doesnot have much knowledge.. its one of the best cars.. economic ac suspensuon space inside n in trunk... over all best pakage.. i hav 1.3 vario since 2009 .. mashallah no mecanical work ever needed but just regular maintainance .. mobil oil/oil filter, air filter, brake pads and CVT gear oil every 40k .. no other maintaince needed till now.. best fuel average 10 to 11 local and 15 on long.. 180km driven n runing perfect mashallag

I am using this car since January 2016. It's more than five years and car performance is simply amazing. Car is solid, engineer performance is powerful (specially driving on mountains), suspension is good. I often used it as off-road but it's ground clearance is good. People get shocked when they see me driving through high tough rocks. My petrol consumption is around 12 to 13 and it was around 15 before engine change. Amazing car indeed.

Valve body is the most common answer of honda guys when your car gives jerks. Best way is to calibrate your cvt once your battery terminal is removed. Its a bit out of normal mechanic's understanding

@@syedmusagilani take it out on some open road. Push it to 60 and then take your foot off the pedal. Let it decelerate to 5 or 10 the natural speed in D. Do it 3 times and most of the jerks of cvt will disappear.

Rs 5000 for oil change every 3000 km turns out to be Rs 1.66 / km. Anyone can make such mistake so no issues. I only wanted to highlight for viewers.

I have kept this car for two years. To be very honest your fuel average is way beyond the actual figure. The reason might be that you have not properly maintained it. Mine would give me 15 on long and 13 to 14 within city. It was CVT and the response was quite good. The only flaw was grip and poor breaking.

steermatic is always 1.5 and came as an imported car.. which later was termed as "Honda Fit" as refurbished model .. the FIT was also offered in 4 wheel drive however, pakistan made automatic was named as "vario" and that was 1.3 .. that's what I know about the variations.. pls correct me in case I'm a not right somewhere

Fuel consumption is so high even it's a 7 speed . I have 1.5 Toyota Belta with 4 speed automatic transmission and it gives 12 kmpL in city on nice foot and on long it gives 16-17 on motorway. It means this car is not welcomed due to its average. All other things are thumbs up.

Gearbox of these old honda cars is a big problem. It will land you in trouble at times. You may need to change the gearbox if it becomes faulty. Consider it before buying old city or civic auto versions.
