1 thing you forgot: having a high dpi but a low sensitivity in game makes your movements smoother

Nope, lower dpi makes it better. If u disagree, check how many cs go professional players play at 400 dpi and not 1000+ dpi

This is my new training Process: After every 1 - 3 games go to the shooting range Go to the pips to train tracking: -shoot the pips while jumping and strafing. -use the dashing to practice flickshots -get at least 50 - 125 kills before going back to playing the game Going to the shooting range isnt actually that bad when you do it often!

I find videos just stating “change mouse sensitivity based on you, moving on” like wtf??? ;-; I’m left then on step one wondering how can i fix that without buy a $50 mouse or having experience. Nice video! There are already some other similar as well, but still this needs to be said and even after almost 2 years in Paladins I've learned a new tip (disabling vertical sync). I'd say setting a right mouse sensitivity is crucial to feel comfortable - honestly almost any gaming mouse provides its own software, that shows exact DPI so there's no need to do the Paint tricks to find out (but sure it's helpful tip working for all hardware). Personally I prefer to switch my sensitivity on-the-fly in the game depending on which champs I'm currently playing - I use higher sensitivity for tanks and flanks and a bit lower for champs like shalin, kinessa etc. - the ones I don't need that much of quick movement/turns as this help me to land a bit more shots (it's only a 400 dpi difference in my case though). So I have two predefined sesitivity settings that I can easily switch using one button on my mouse and which are also being indicated by various backlight so you can immeditely see what setting is currently on. IMO another good tip - it's better to use HIGHER DPI mouse set up and afterwards setting up lower mouse sensitivity in the game to feel comfortable. It seems to be more accurate to me than i.e. setting up mouse to 800 DPI with a 100% mouse sensitivity in the game. Simply it's more accurate - you have that nice new gaming mouse with 3200 DPI right? So you wanna take advantage of that resolution instead of lowering it to 800 DPI just to be able to hit anything. So possibly if in-game sensitivity setting range isn't enough, not sure if Paladins provide some additional tune up via .ini file as some other games do. Also I think it would be helpful if everyone of us would share personal settings to help other to catch a clue on what numbers to start testing with: I use 1600 DPI + 4.1 in game sensitivity for tanks/flanks/mobile dmg and 1200 DPI + 4.2/4.3 in game sensitivity for more static champs where you don't usually need to do a 180/360° turn around all the time (shalin, kinessa etc.) I believe I remember the DPI settings correctly and it's not 1800/1400 DPI, I'll check when I'll be back home to ensure... :)

I do agree that having a "gaming mouse" will not improve your aim, but I will say typically they do have better sensors than the one dollar mice you can find, and that is important. Some mice can only track on certain color surfaces as well and make it impossible to flick with mice.

Also what I like to do with Sha Lin and maybe some others to reduce hand stress and tiredness is to do a circular motion with my hand/ crosshair, like a wide "O" movement when having pulled the arrow back and maybe AROUND my target so I can "reset" my hand/ brain before throwing the next arrow. Of course, all this when I don't have the enemy right in my face but in a certain distance.

Great video :) the only thing i think is missing is that having more than 60 fps, so 100 as an exemple, your game will recieve inputs from your mouse more often and will ususually make it a bit smoother.

I'm really good at strix but I never get over 50FPS in any of my games because I play on a core i5 6600k's integrated GPU 😂 (blame the stupid cryptomining boom for that) and it breaks my heart that I can't really play any of the champions you mentioned. Maeve, Andro, BK, Sha Lin and Drogoz are champions that I've barely touched in the 12 months that I've been playing the game, and even when I try really hard I just fail miserably at them. Honestly it's actually a surprise I'm ridiculously good at Strix since I play him with like 30-40FPS and I play strix like a flank (I get super close to my enemies and kill them with sniper+flare before they even know what's going on) and I still win most of the time. But I digress. This video was super helpful man, thanks!

really liked the Video, the only thing that bugged me was the dpi bit. I am used to 8200 dpi and to improve my aiming in Paladins I tuned it down to 2.5 in Paladins and firstly 800 dpi on the mouse itself. I couldn't hit anything for the life of me, doing it with 400 dpi would just be the Hell on Earth. I now play with 2400 dpi and 2.5 in Paladins and tune it down to 1600 or 1200 depending on the Champion, for example, Kinessa and Strix.

I play with Logitech G502 mouse with 2400 dpi and in game sensitivity at 15. 400 dpi is way too low unless you're sniping from extremely far distances, which doesn't happen in Paladins.

This is a good guide for any fps to be honest.. But i will say, that mouses with higher dpi are helping, cause they are smoother thanks to that higher dpi, I know this because i had a lower dpi mouse for a while, then i bought a high 3k dpi mouse and my aim got A LOT more precise. My aim is fairly good, not the best, but good enough to get plays of the game almost every time. Watched this video out of curiosity and overall i'm satisfied with it. But better mouse helps. As does a decent trackpad. A higher dpi mouse has better tracking and a trackpad will make moving your mouse more comfortable.

i have a question, you say to find your dpi, move your mouse an inch, but what was shown doesn't look like an inch. From my understanding, an inch is 2.54 cm. On your screen the line went 3/4 through the page. This is a problem as i don't know when to stop the line.

Im a Grover main and aiming is kind of hard cauz the Axe is flying quite slow and hasnt a wide range (I dont mine far I mean that the Axe is pretty thin). Im also playing Willow and Evie which both have a more or less bad firerate but they are nearly the only not Tank or Heal Champs I can use (Im not counting the OP ones that every noob can use like Koga or Lex). This Vid can help me to get much better and I think Flickshots are what I need cauz Im good at Trackshots.
