Last month we had a bitter experience. Bought breakfast parcel for 5 persons, they charged 60/- extra as packing charges , yet to our dismay we found on the way that they did not pack sambar at all for idly and vadai.

A tiffin hotel means the quality of rava dosai. In the present days, one can hardly find a tiffin hotel whether managed by brahminor other castes, serving qualitative tiffin or meals. I am aged 85 and my father was running a hotel..this is about 80 years back..but never I had entered into that hotel and ate tiffin..but afterwards there were some good hotels too. But in Madras, Saravana Bhavan is the BEST I can say.

Not only that, packing hot sambar etc in polythene covers is dangerous and may cause cancers. While you serve nicely in banana leaf inhouse eating, it can be similar ( parcels wrapped in banana leaf or dry leaf ) option for takeaways! Please explore!!

Food was below average taste ( both breakfast and lunch). The sambar for lunch was more like dhalma of odia. Kootu and porial was the same as is available in any similar joint. Ambience requires lot to improve. So also the taste of food.
