The MMDA TFSO return to Palanca Street in Manila.

Sometimes it's hard to clear the sidewalks and roads because the obstructions are being semi-legalized at the local level.
Trucks parking on the road - some of the drivers said they’re paying P200 a day to park there. They were still ticketed for illegal parking.
Other parked vehicles - Illegally parked vehicles wont be towed anymore. A ticket will be placed on the windscreen.
Vendors on the sidewalk - Around 30 minutes after the team cleared them, someone showed a Barangay Resolution that was submitted to Manila City a few days after the last clearing operation. That resolution approves the vendors being on the sidewalk as part of a “livelihood project”. There was nothing from the City saying that Barangay Resolution was approved.
Vendors in the road - The vendors showed hawkers permits and daily receipts that say they’re paying P20 a day to Manila City.
MTPB MOA - The first time the team came across the P180,000 MOA, the Barangay claimed to have little knowledge and disassociated themselves from it. But now they’ve adjusted their position and are suggesting it’s owned by the Barangay for the purpose of simplifying parking in the area.

I realized that in some cases the barangay officials are the real problem. Enforce the freaking law, stop being lenient to these lawless people. Reclaim and clean all sidewalks taken for private use and return it to the public.

Don’t let that enforcer talk to violators as his explanation is encouraging drivers or riders to do more fault as the penalty is a joke plus they keep their licenses as well... GA can you pass this on to MMDA to stop doing this and just enforce the law... I know it’s similar here in UK as the police are a complete joke and obviously not being respected by anyone. We need a USA style of apprehension, no more talks just comply.

Ang solution jan ay palitan ang karamihan sa mga barrangay officials ng mmda officers. Di kasi na me-maintain ng barangay. Mas Mabuti kung marami ang mga mmda officer para di na bumalik yang mga vendor sa sidewalks
