There are guest houses run by the temple and private hotels nearby. I’d recommend booking in advance if possible. Yes, there is a separate area for women for headshaving to ensure privacy. The timings for headshaving are generally during temple hours, so it’s best to visit in the morning or early evening. As for doing a headshave at any age, it’s entirely up to you and your beliefs.
