"Gud Naal Ishq Mitha" has been a popular Punjabi wedding song for decades. I think, the first bollywood edition of this song is "Ishq Da Rog Laga" (Anuradha Paudwal) from the film, 'Aayee Milan Ki Raat' which was released in 1991, composed by Anand-Milind who introduced a lot of folk songs and folk-based songs to the Bollywood during the early 1990s, which was followed by others and became a trend then. The same song was heard in 1993 film 'Darr', composed by Shiv-Hari and sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Vinod Rathore, etc.
