dude needs to get over himself. So, his dad is a little angry with his sons Feminine Streak, it's boyhood bro nothing special here, it's a legacy of all boys everywhere..
@annieleonhart3653 жыл бұрын
There's implied domestic abuse in the music video (intense screaming between the mom and dad about the singer, plates shattering etc.) as well as the fact that the dad *literally* left the family because of it...could've easily happened multiple times before he actually left. That's why the singer says, "You broke my heart when you left me" and "Hey dad, would you show up for me now/ Just to bury your little boy in the ground". Basically, "Hey, Dad, since you wrecked the family and left because of me, would you finally show up and be a part of said family again when I'm dead, because you hated me so much? Was I that terrible?" Additionally, the singer was a young child when the dad left; events like that can have a major traumatic effect on young children, and can last throughout the rest of their lives. Not to mention when you have person whom you love degrade you to nothing, and that person is supposed to be the head of the family? Hence the lines, "My life don't mean that much to me/So I'm living for you" "Yeah, I'm living for you/And you can't stand the sight of me" The singer is living for his dad because the constant abuse has affected his self-esteem to the point where he doesn't feel like he can live for himself. He still loves his dad though, even though he might be angry and fed-up with the way he's being treated. Because he knows that deep down somewhere that there's a person he loves. He still sees what he knew of his dad before. And this what confuses the singer and most likely causes him to begin popping pills and quite actually, *dig his own grave* in teenagerhood. It's a blurred line between love and hate, and a common dilemma for abused and/or neglected children. And for his dad to leave him for that shows that the dad really wasn't a good person to start with, because good dad, even if he didn't agree with his son's choices, wouldn't mentally and emotionally abuse his son, and leave the family due to the singer's lifestyle. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you have a wonderful day. 🤗🥰
