When you were just a wild moon child They deprived you of things for a while A baptist child lives with unfair minds Looking for a reason to survive When you were just a wild moon child Found myself trapped inside the wild Lost boy with the nature eyes Looking for a reason to survive It's our choice you got to be treason Its about time you got to be leaving Chocolate blue skies never fade Sunset horizons always our parade I've got a heartbeat a heart, heart beat going down Take me to underground Heart beat a heart, heart beat going down Take me to underground As you wait for something to fight for People find themselves without a cause And I see all the hidden lies Behind the all seen eye, oh yeah Opening your mouth wide open shut now Doctors shoot the veins…

While I do still love what they're currently doing, I'll always think The Ends Beginning was their best. It's just got such an authentic sound and it's like they didn't care that it didn't sound like modern music and I LOVED IT

this is my favorite palaye royale song and i love it with all of my soul, but can someone please shed some light on what the lyrics mean?
@heatherheath38346 жыл бұрын
I think it's set in a parallel universe type thing, with the moon child (possibly some sort of tie to Emerson? It at least seems like it's tied to him, or Sebastian.) the protagonist, as the lyrics focus on him, running from the government (It's our choice you got to be treason It's about time we got to be leaving) which is probably run by the Illuminati or's perceived to be run by them, (And I see all the hidden lies Behind the all seeing eye) after running from an abusive home/grew up in one because of the lyrics of the first verse- ("When you were just a wild moon child They deprived you of things for a while A baptist child lives with unfair minds Looking for a reason to survive") which kinda implies the moon child is grown up now, or is no longer wild, but due to the deprivation (possibly food, love, possessions, ect.) developed apathy/depression (why I think it's connected to Emerson, quite often he'll post on twitter his mood if he feels like he's dead or depressed, which leads a lot of people to be like, you okay? And he's sorta implied it in interviews and stuff.This narrative could be a way of him like, exploring a similar narrative and getting that across. Also it mentions elsewhere about the nature eyes and he has really pretty greenish-blueish eyes, as does Sebastian, which makes it applicable to both, (like the prophecy in Harry Potter and how it could apply to both Neville and Harry at the beginning, but then Harry get marked so it was him) as opposed to Remington who has deep beautiful brown eyes. Sebastian isn't as open about the effects of his mental health, tho he's stated he has like anxiety, which considering the theme of this and Running-Cemeteries no.1, it's quite possible this could be linked back to him? Personally I see it as Emerson, but like obvs I'm just a fan and don't actually know the boys, so idk and they may have said it somewhere but this is my headcannon.) . But the protagonist is like on the run and going 'underground I think.

@@roshanfey Haha, thanks. It could just be bs tho, but it was fun going through everything. 😊
@jadetrolland80955 жыл бұрын
@@heatherheath3834 well, honestly no matter how far off an interpretation is from the original creators idea, it's never bullshit. Art is what you the consumer make it to be. Sort of like how with Vampires Will Never Hurt You by MCR I interpret it to be about anxiety because that relates to me, even though Gerard has said in an interview it was about alcoholism. Doesn't make how I perceive it less valid, and if you're way off what they intended? Well it's still right, and you did a great job dissecting and analysing it.
