Amanda Mckernan I do agree that he’s doing that to his voice, but depending on when this was filmed, we may need to take into consideration that this could’ve been while the boys were back to back sick a few times. He also does physically seem like he’s struggling health wise in this video but I’m not sure.

Being sick doesnt mean sound like a chronic smoker, you can still sing decent but not do alot of things like a proper support for high/low notes and such. There are technical ways for growl and if he doesnt do something about it, he is going to strain straight to hoarness without going back.
