Thank you for showing us where the pieces of fossil came from on the animal. Finding fossils is such a cool thing to do, but putting the pieces in perspective makes it outstanding. I found the turtle leg to be my favorite! They have such an adorable curve to their little legs that makes them more endearing.

I really like the edits where you show exactly what part of the animal it comes from, and you explain things as we go along. I prefer this style to just telling everything at the end. It makes everything that we are seeing make sense as we're seeing it.

When I saw that beaver jaw with the incisor still in it coming out of the silt, I came out of my chair. Such a great trip! Thanks! p.s. And to think…that claw is missing the proximal end..and it’s the bone claw core. The actual claw would have been way larger..and that’s a small sloth. I’m glad you enjoyed the packs so much and thanks for helping support these videos by ordering them! Yes, many of our finds like these do make it to the website. I really need to update the site with a ton of new fossils and minerals soon.

So by watching your videos, I found a horse tooth last year and knew exactly what it was. I was and am so excited to have found it in southern IL. Well I also found another tooth near it. I didn't know till now thanks to you it's an horse incisor. It's most likely the same horse. How exciting!!!!! Thank u

I am not Amira. I seriously considered going into the field years ago, but the amount of debt I’d be in from pursuing that degree and the fact that most paleontology jobs are for the oil industry pushed me away. Learning about nature is a lifelong pursuit for me though. As long as I’m breathing, I’ll be learning new things and sharing what I know with others.

Entoplasterons are always a favorite of mine but I think this time my favorites were the beaver incisor peice and jaw bone and that bird bone. I can't believe that bird bone survived to fossilize. Oh and the jaguar tooth was freaking cool! Then again that sloth claw was really cool too....it's so hard to pick a favorite!
