Based on history, the land belonged to the Jewish people. The Jewish religion predates Islam and Christianity. The Jewish people built their homes on that land first until the Roman empire destroyed everything. The Arabs then took over the Jewish land and tried to remove all Jewish history be building Mosques over Jewish homes and buildings. Palestine was a name created by the Romans for that land. The original name is The Kingdom of Israel.
