There are 3 very old Churches in Gazza. One Orthodox, one Baptist, and one Catholic. All three were attcked by Izrael over the years. The Gaza Baptist Church was attcked in 2008. The Catholic Church of the Holy Family was attcked twice, once in 2014 and another time in 2021. And then the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius which was attcked in 19 October 2023. The Christian community in Gazza is treated fairly well by Hamas but they are not safe from the attcks of the xionists.

2 members of the Church of the Holy Family were killed about a week ago. 7 more were wounded and one of them has died as well. The convent is damaged and the IDF bombed the generator, and the water pump. They have no power, food, or water. The nuns were taking care of 53 disabled people in the convent. I read they are displaced, and some will die because they were on respirators. I haven't heard what's happened to them. Last I heard, the Church was surrounded by tanks. Evil beyond words!!!!!

I watched my grandmother who raised me die on the floor and take her last breath in front of me from heart failure when I was 17 so I know what eternal loss feels like so yes I may never know what loosing family to idf soldiers feels like and but I know what it feels to live an entire life without them and that feeling is tremendously painful. Especially now that I have children and they are now affected because they have no grandparents to share their journey in life and love and support and I'm also lacking that love and support and I'll never get them back in this life so I'm very familiar with death and yes I have extreme empathy for those people in Gaza loosing loved ones left and I right even with all ive been through i cant imagine their pain. I am American too and I am horrified by these actions as I learn the history of this conflict. We are a human family first. Did Jesus turned away from the people who were often dismissed by society? No. He uplifted them from their suffering and healed them. Lord sees them rather than with our own eyes. He sees them Perfect love caseth out all fear. He sees them for the potential they may not see in themselves. I don’t understand how the plight of the suffering, especially the children, is being dismissed in this way.

I'm losing my faith in my fellow Americans here in Northern Michigan. My liberal friends are dismissive, don't want to hear about it, refuse to go to the non corporate sponsored news sources and living in a bubble of affluence, not wanting to be bothered to look at this genocide. I'm doing what I can, calling out and donating. I feel alone but know that I'm not. May truth prevail. I watch the people of Palestine.
