Others are better trained than Towa, but no one in Hololive has a better natural voice than her. That deeper register, the amazing tonal qualities of her voice, that effortless power, the emotionality. She is one of my favourite contemporary singers, in or out of Hololive.

I said it in the live too but the first time seen this song i cried, and i still even now get tears i my eyes every time i watch it, this was my most favorite Hololive song period, but then she released sanvitalia and now there are both tied on the fist place, ina is my oshi, but towa is favorite singer in hololive that i listen the most 💜

This song is super emotional for her but the time she sang error live when she first appeared at Holo fes while literally crying in the middle of the song was incredible

Palette is such an amazing and emotional song, and it really speaks to Towa's personal struggles. This is almost a love song to her fans because she wasn't in the best of places in the beginning (she get a lot of hate at some point in her early days because of some incident...but the fans that stayed during those times helped her through a lot and she holds that dear to her heart). She had such a great voice... and to think this girl was self-taught. As an aside, @3:27 that framed photo is a reference to her 3D live where she performed the song (and cried while singing it). Also @3:42 a subtle nod to her genmates with all their respective colors (Orange=Coco / Yellow=Watame / Blue=Kanata / Pink= Luna / Purple= herself)

okay, i really thought that she has a semi professional background in music. i don't know anything about an incident, but whatever it was, im happy that she is here and does such amazing music! thanks for the info. i did not get that with the genmates colors @.@

@@RIANtics She's very dedicated to her singing, but yeah just like Suisei and some others girls, she never got a professional voice training before Hololive.

@ Okay. "The incident". There was a stream where a male voice came on in the background. Because vtubing has its roots in Japanese idol culture, a lot of fans have traditionally insisted that female vtubers have NO male associates, romantic or otherwise. The backlash was immense. But there was also an incredibly spirited defense of Towa, primarily led by Towa's overseas fans (also known as the "OS bros"). Towa was particularly touched by those that defended her, not least because she didn't realise she had so many overseas fans (at that stage, HoloEN hadn't happened, and a lot of people still thought of vtubing as an almost entirely Japanese cultural phenomenon). It was this sudden voicing of support from non-Japanese fans, plus advocacy from another Hololive member (Kiryu Coco), that probably prompted Hololive to try an English branch. Later that year, HoloMyth debuted, and the rest is... history. As for Towa, she stuck out the controversy, and continues to have one of the highest percentage of overseas fans. This is partly because of memory of "the incident", but also there's something about her singing voice and her song selection (rock ballads, hard rock, and even metal) which continues to appeal to overseas fans.

At the start of the video you see a dossier with a picture of Tokino Sora clipped to it; Sora was the first member of Hololive that started this odyssey; and towards the end a new dossier appeared with Towa's picture on it, saying that she has experienced the same journey take by Sora. Now we are edging towards the land of secret knowledge. Before joining Hololive, Towa was quite successful as a singer and dancer, and had worked with several girls who also ended up at Hololive. I guess she was like Suisei, realising that being independent could only go as far, and wishing to be with a large agency to move forward.

ooooh, so she WAS a singer! okayokay, that makes sense!

@@RIANtics The earliest song she released that I am aware of came out in May 2014. She's a member of Hololive Gen4, still my favourite generation with three outstanding singers including her, but she was the one who struggled the most at the beginning, mainly for her unusual voice that did not match her super cute looks. But she eventually got the standing she deserved: one of her earlier hololive song was "Stardust Song" with genmate Kanata, and Gen3's Flare; when Towa let loose her power it is an absolute thrill.

KZbin-AI so advanced nowdays! Its uses "cold-reading" on streamer face and creates the subtitles for his inner monologue.

'Soul' songs are really good. Not every Hololive member has one, but when they do they really hit hard. Miko has a few, in a sense, because she touches on various aspects of her dreams, aspirations and doubts, so I'd struggle to specify any single song that captures the 'whole' of Miko. Well, actually, that's not true.. I can think of three songs that encapsulate Miko's soul. Maybe four. Sakurakaze and Our Tree kinda go hand in hand, with Our Tree especially encapsulating the feeling of "look how much I've grown", DAI DAI DAI Fantatista is very much "Miko before-and-after Hololive".. ..But if I really wanted to say there was a song that truly well and fully was Mikochi's heart and soul.. It would have to be "flower rhapsody". Sadly there's no CC but I did post lyrics to it in the comments. The song is a literal message from Miko to her fragile and doubtful past self, as well as a message to her future self to never give up on her dreams.

@RIANtics No problem! I don't know if you saw it but I also replied to you before with the full list of her songs that have MVs. 👍 Actually a minor note: Sakurakaze before Our Tree because the latter is a sequel song. (Also edit of an edit, when watching Sakurakaze, use the United Kingdom CC. For some reason the other English CC is a bad translation or perhaps an unofficial one). Also across Sakurakaze, Our Tree and flower rhapsody, a nice thing to keep in mind is that the sakura tree is both the symbol of Miko but it's also a representation of her growth, the love her fans feel for her and she feels for them.

@@Terralventhe massively agree, for some reason her music gets no where near the attention she deserves. Everyone knows how great of a streamer she is but her originals always fly under the radar, specially as you mentioned "the cannon" as I call it sk/ot/fr so I'd also second that recommendation, and gonna stop Sperging to just say thanks for what you do for Miko :) sorry lol
