I can totally relate to everything you touched upon in this video. About two years ago I hardly had a makeup collection but girl I have created a monster of a collection since then and I’m loving it. I guess I’m making up for my youth when I didn’t have the means to enjoy make up like I do now. This quarantine really catapulted me into makeup and KZbin. Life is too short. I’m the same way. I dabbled in makeup as a teenager and my early twenties but once I started having children I stopped wearing makeup. Didn’t have the time or the money. Since the pandemic I’ve had time to get back into it. Makeup application has evolved so much over the years. I’m a licensed cosmetology but I no longer practice in the field so I’m finding myself learning all the new makeup techniques.

This made me feel better lol. I literally have a nice sized drawer filled with palettes I haven’t used. I consider myself a collector BUT I do plan to use them. I think for me I revisit a lot of palettes and try to “use up” older palettes before opening my newer ones. Anything eyeshadow related from you I’m finna watch on period. As I said before you are my favorite even though I’m not bold when it comes to my eyeshadow looks. I truly enjoy your videos and I feel like I need to catch up. Now that we have to “home school” for a bit, I’m really stretched thin. 😂😂😂

I really enjoy you taking time to talk about each palette. As you are holding up each one, I'm thinking of whether I use mine or not, if I regret giving it away, etc. It's fun to go down memory lane or just listen to whether you think something was worth the hype or not. I actually do regret getting rid of my chocolate bar original palette. It was something I used all the time, but as I got more into color, I felt like it was boring. Truthfully, I had some tried and true looks that I used with it and I loved it. I tried to depot a few shades, broke the palette, and threw it away in frustration. Now it's sold out or not available online in most places. I regret getting rid of it very much and actually, if you'd be willing to sell it, I'd probably buy it off you. But anyway, same thing with the Sweet Peach. What was I thinking getting rid of it....ugh..so annoying lol. Anyway, REALLY enjoyed this video. Please continue in this format.

These are interesting videos to do. When I did mine, it made it look through my collection and sort out what to say good bye to. It was hard, but quite rewarding. I've given items to family and sold them in my poshmark closet: They loved them. And because I have the extra spicy, I don't see myself getting the new one due to similarities.

Hey girl! I like these kinds of videos. It’s interesting to see your collection. I have 2 palettes by Too Faced and I tend to travel with them. They are a good size to throw in a small travel bag. The chocolate bar my husband bought for me and it was my first expensive palette. I know I wouldn’t have it if he hadn’t bought it. I would enjoy more videos like this.

I am defnitely a collector or "Completionist" if you will. I don't use a lot of older palettes in my collection either but I still do use neutral palettes just newer formulas are better and shimmers/metallics/liquids/creams stuff like that are better now. I love this video!

I don’t use glitter eyeshadow on my eyes but I learned from Alejandra Lissette that you could use it on your nails. Just tap it on your nails while they are still wet from the polish then put a clear top coat to seal in the glitter. I have also a sentimental value to the then and now palette because I used it while giving a presentation on the last day of school before finishing my other degree. I tie memories to a lot of palettes maybe that’s why I hold on to them.

I hate that being "grown" is associated with losing a sense of joy, play, and brightness. If your truly love neutrals and simplicity, cool. But if you love color, go for it. If something doesn't make your heart sing, why bother? So someone else will give you their stamp of approval? No thank you. At least, this is the conversation I have with myself often. Gotta be comfortable being me everywhere. And I have so enjoyed all the Kolors of Koloful Kamele. Always lots of good inspration. 🙌❤🧡💛💚💜

I got the Razzle Dazzle on sale also last year during ULTA's 21 days of beauty and paid 17$ for it, as well as the pineapple one, but the formula is really good. I do love the looks I've done with it. I've used it a lot and it smells amazing.

The urban decay naked 2 was my first high end palette, then the naked 3 then chocolate bar 🍫 palette. I used to think $50 for a palette was crazy, but now it’s normal to me. 😂 CoffeebreakwithDani made me buy the chocolate bar, but I don’t subscribe to her channel these days. It was such a hyped up palette back then and it’s well loved. I would use it on my way to school so I have sentimental value with it. 😆

"To make room for more makeup" made me laugh. 😁 I really like these videos. Evolving into one's style is an ongoing journey & especially the beginning is filled with a lot unnecessary stuff, because you try to see what sticks, what feels right & authentic. I have a lot of things for that reason in my collection. They were useful in that sense. Showing me what I don't like. But I also have phases. I've had the minimal phase, the monochromatic phase, the unflattering trendy phase. And currently I'm trying to master the walk on the thin line between colorful & just pops of colors, without doing the same look everytime. It's fun to discover this all, isn't it? :D Also, that inner corner pop of color has me dead! So, so pretty 😍😍

OMG we are way too much alike - I collect as well and have many palettes simply there because it's cute or part of a set. I have some of my Too Faced palettes right in front of me every day and never use them. I do want the Pumpkin palette though LOL I actually didn't even think I had Too Faced in my collection until I was reorganizing my palettes.

As I come back to loving neutrals again, I’ve started to appreciate all my neutral palettes including the too faced ones. I got those tutti frutti palettes 50% off too. They have different formulas and textures within each palette. The pineapple one has a good texture one which is beautiful on the lid but you must need to use a glitter glue or wet your brush for it to go on smoothly. I wish I had TJmaxx in my area but the closest is like 1 hour away due to traffic and I don’t drive so it’s not worth it. I always miss out on the heavily discounted TJMaxx makeup. 😂

This was a great video! I don't own any Two Faced palettes. Not very Drag Queen friendly in my opinion, but like you I love the packaging! Exactly what i concluded last night. I felt like all i need is all the og ABH palettes and i don't need anything else. They're concise n easy to use whereas as much as too faced is cute, pretty, sturdy packaging and still a decent quality brand, however, the number of eyeshadows in the tf tin palettes is kinda overwhelming sometimes. No doubt the UD NAKED palettes are still in and loved, it's the format and concise number of options to create a look.

One thing about the Tutti Frutti palettes! I used the black from the berry one and the silver shadow all the way on the right in the pineapple one, smoking it all out with the light mauve and GIRL😍It was goregous. I think they play better together than on their own. Just a thought! But I get what you mean, I also forget to reach for them alot.

The papaya palette is on sale currently, It's 27$, from the regular 34$ as of November 3, 2020. The pineapple one is cool because the green color is a duochrome with a brown shift. It's one of the most common duochromes made by brands, but it's still cool.

I so want the Palm Springs Dream palette. I actually was supposed to get this as a choice item in my boxycharm months and then a day after my boxycharm shipped, I was told that they weren't able to give me my choice item and gave me like a 6$- 12$ credit for the add-on shop. I was so annoyed. I just never wanted to pay full-price for this palette, even though it is super super pretty...so I still have yet to buy it. Sounds dumb, but it is true. I'm from California originally and my grandmother lived in Palm Springs, so it would have been cool to have for that....but also the colors were super pretty too. Do you like using that one a lot??

Tarte was the first higher end brand that I started purchasing. I actually sold Younique makeup for a year, which is extremely outrageously priced makeup for direct sales, but as for actual makeup purchases that wasn't drugstore, Tarte was the brand.....then it all went to hell after that. I have over 200 eyeshadow palettes now....high end and drugstore. Like Wet N Wild to Pat McGrath. SMH!! I'm a low key hoarder.

Bland neutral palettes are you. Why did you buy Born this Way girl? We're you sleep walking? The purple on your eyes are you and you know it. Your eyes are bomb. Love them. I have palettes I hate too. I received them in subscriptions. I would have never bought them on my own. I love vibrant colors too not neutral dull dead colors @Boxycharm and @Ipsy love to give me. A few of the palettes I use for work meetings and that's it. I really don't like them. There are some high end brands that people fall over and I don't see the big deal. I buy what I like and fall in love with. I care that the product works well. The brand and packaging means nothing.
