Palisade Tiles - Applying Silicone Sealant

Skip. My question regards the placement of the Silicone Sealant. You say to place it "into the female groove of the panel", but the video shows placing it on the wall outside of the groove. Which is correct ?

Second Question. Instructions say to have the "male" edge facing up, and the "female" edge facing down, but again the video shows placing silicone above a tile on the wall.

Third question. In Saskatchewan Canada only glue I could find that was on the list was the Lepage Wet Insta-Bond product. It says good for PVC. Cost me about $185 (with taxes) for 10 tubes. The PL Premium also says good for PVC, and is available in the larger tubes. Would save me close to $100 in glue. What glue are you using in the videos ?
