I find it easier to hold the plastic parts in position and then run the solvent along the join, it will flow into the join. Some solvents will be almost dry by the time you apply them and then place the parts together. An alternative to Krystal Kleer is Deluxe Materials Glue n glaze, probably easier to find in the UK, I changed to using it. The underpass is looking good. Mine needs lighting, one of the few places not lit on the layout.

Yes, not sure why I didn’t use that method for this long wall 🤣 I usually use the method shown for small parts. As for the Krystal Klear, quite a few places have it here, but yes, the Deluxe product is a great alternative. Glad you like the underpass, still quite a bit of interior detailing to go

Do you plan finding or buying, F40PHM shells? As far I know related to Metra power operations, from 2003, to 2009 was when the MP36 locomotives operated on the Chicago sub, while the F40PHs, and PHMs have been running since 1992 replacing the BN E9s. It looks great! Nice job!

Are you going to add lights to your vehicles in the tunnel, headlights, tail lights...? Looking good, I really like that underpass, lots of character

I got them from eBay - will try find the link, but I purchased them a while back from the Amazon UK store, but I’m sure they’ll also be in the US store. They are the Golden White colour

My railroad layout contains no graffiti. Those imaginary graffiti vandals are marched to the imaginary gallows without delay. I despise graffiti in real life.

I despise pointless graffiti, but the artwork on 16th St is truly art! There are some very talented people out there. At least this is a space they can showcase their talents, unlike those who just tag their initials

Very true, but this area is a spot just for them, so they can cheer up an otherwise grotty retaining wall. I agree when graffiti is sprayed on rail cars, etc, but in dedicated spots it livens the areas up and showcases local artists
