Only one issue. You should have used better jaggery. Dark brown jaggery should be preferred. Secondly, adding cardamom powder is essential for nice flavour. Thirdly, even for home use, it is better to sprinkle roasted Bengal gram powder (putnala pappu powder) on the top to keep it less hygroscopic. Corn flour is not suggested. The best jaggery is found in Theni and Kolhapur areas for making chikki. The best groundnut is found in Kurnool area. Small size peanut is preferred than big/ bold ones. All the best.
