Pirate radio was the heartbeat of London's music scene throughout the 90s and 2000s. Without pirate radio the music we listen to today wouldn't have been heard. Long live the analogue age of music!!

Well said! I always loved pirate radio, especially Flex FM and Unknown FM. Sadly Unknown FM's gone, but Flex FM's a legal station now.

People say to me how come I love DnB and Jungle. I'm now in my early 40s! What can I say, I grew up in South London in the mid 90s listening to Don and Dream FM. Was never in doubt :D It's funny cause my parents used to listen to Radio Caroline back in the day, so I guess it's in the blood!

That was awesome. Especially making the effort to visit the fort.

I loved pirate radio when I was growing up in the 2000s, especially the house, reggae and jungle stations. Flex FM was one of my favourites, its great that they're a legal station now!

The only interference that antenna would cause is to television reception!... Make sure your dipole is far away as possible from 'communal TV aerial's'.

That’s a long way off. The day a car rolls off the production line without an fm radio then we’ll know there done with it. I’m actually I’m in court next week for pirate radio in Essex. Ofcom weren’t impressed with my 300wt rig up a 700ft national grid pylon on the Thames smashing across the whole of London essex Kent herts Sussex 🤣

Private station will come to an end when the government should the FM down and put a FM jammer frequency across it

Pirate DAB+ should be doable. Technically more complex, but incredibly advanced tech is now available to mere hobbyists compared to just 10 years ago.

it would be nice to see the rig builders while they build the transmitters, tune them, use band pass filters and check how clean they are on analysers, but they won't as that would prove they don't interfere with other services or users, or do they ?? Anyone ever checked a rig on an analyser ?? maybe a new video ?
