01/07/24 - Ok I just watched this on my timeline and came here to find it. That was nice. Ya'll ate from the entire menu on this one. Brought back childhood memories. I played the snare drum when i was in grade school but I was nowhere near this good. Ya'll really ate. I stopped playing when I got to high school. In hind sight I wished I had known back then what I know now. Ya'll can get college scholarships to play in the school band. Keep those grades up and get a full scholarship. Good luck ya'll. Thanks again.

This is ridiculous but I can't help it: I sat here watching this and cried like a big fool from start to finish- and I ain't a crying kinda person! These kids are PHENOMENAL. I truly mean it. I don't know a single one of them but I couldn't be more proud if they were my own kids! I joined concert band in 3rd grade, started marching in 7th grade with the high school band and stayed in until I graduated in 2003. This performance took me right back to my teenage years...I had no idea then and many times I considered quitting band because it was A LOT most the time, especially when I was trying to work and study and don't even get me started on the month long band camp that robbed me of sleeping late almost all of summer vacations! But I stick it out...and I do not to this very day regret it. I would go back and do it again right now if I could. I WISH I COULD! Those were the best days of my life and I didn't have any idea. Marching band taught me so many things and made me a totally different person than I would've been without it and I owe so much of where I am today to the things instilled in me by being part of band. It's one of the few instances of having been taught something truly useful that is applicable in real life beyond school! I well know the endless hours of seriously hard mental and physical work these kids endure, the sacrifices they make and they choose to do it: that says a lot about them. I hope they all continue, don't quit, keep practicing- they won't regret it. These kids are amazingly strong and talented. Truly. Much love from west Kentucky ❤️

Brought back childhood memories for me. My mom put us in the band after her and my dad got divorced in an effort to keep us focused so hopefully we would not stray. She used to cry seeing us play and did not understand at the time but it brought her so much joy. R.I.H.
