Pfff they held onto people's money TWENTY years and kept promising "starting soon". Now they want FIVE times as much for a house there and are ignoring the original contracts, not even giving compensation to investors they ripped off.

Great job. Doubt ‘amusement park’ makes the cut - land will be too valuable. Emaar, Damac, and Meraas are probably better real estate firms than Nakheel. Nakheel has been caught up in a few scandals (Google the Australian who was wrongly thrown in Dubai prison) - hopefully they pull this off.

Now with a new airport, Maktoom international Airport from the Paul. It's like 25 minutes away maximum and they will build another Dubai downtown in that area so basically the Burj Khalifa will be the old downtown so it's a big opportunity. I wish I had buildings. I'll take the whole Paulman rebuild it with a crazy mansions in Villa and organic restaurants, organic food storesJim schools mosques worship area whatever

Nakheel (and related cos) are nothing but crooks. They have sat on people's money for TWENTY years and not given a single cent in compensation. It's not even clear whether they will refund the monies they received 20 years ago. Nothing but common criminals.

Of course if the seas rise a couple of feet over the next hundred years the whole place might be inundated by water - so not exactly somewhere I would want to buiy a house ! It's ambitious & idealistic as are all their projects, but to me this is not very sensible. The result of having way too much money to spend & a deep desire to show off to the world ???
