I've also tried, unsuccessfully, for 3 years to create the palmetto rose from xtant youtube videos. I am relieved and excited about making some for 2018. That will make the 20th weave I practice for the annual Palm Sunday procession. Very clear and concise instructions. Much, much appreciated.

Thank you so much! First actual video on youtube I could find on this that actually helped and was informative enough to actually create my own. This one deserves the most views!

Great video, extremely helpful now I am making them by the handfuls! We just recently moved onto a private island in Florida and there are plenty of supplies! Thanks again bud!

I’m so glad it helped! It’s great that you have no issues with restocking your supplies too! They make people smile when you give them out. Thanks for the feedback, it’s appreciated for sure!

Very clear and with that demonstration, in dire I could probably make one myself. Thanks, as a charlestonian, I have always wanted to learn.

Thank you so much! These are beautiful. I came looking for just the boring flat rose I do every year (basically it’s the same process but before you put the end through the hole and twist). I was not expecting something so cool. Thank you!

What is the approximate length of the palm leaf? I don't know what kind of palm to get.
@kenwhite866 Жыл бұрын
You can use any length that you have availability to. It will only change the size of the finished product, it will still turn out beautiful no matter what you choose! I have used a variety of different palms and they are all individually different, which makes it even more interesting to see what the end result is. Good luck and I hope this helps you!

How far down the palm do you go when making the first twist (0:34)
@kenwhite8665 жыл бұрын
Depending on the length you have to use, typically leave 4 to 7 inches at bottom as that will be your stem. Good luck!
