Congratulations on capturing so much of the allure of Palm Springs. The photography is gorgeous, the information is up to date and the nice mix of lux and regular hotels, restaurants and stores perfectly shows how the area can be enjoyed by all income levels. Palm Springs (and the entire Coachella Valley) are definitely one of the memorable jewels of the state of California.

👋 hi there. My name is Katherine; I hade my driver's permit, living in the palisades section of Southern California at the age of 15. I totally when my dad took my youngest sister & myself to the springs! He had business dealings with the Boyles: bill & Denise b o y c e !!! Dad had a retail garment man come to our house to show us 2 racks of young girls Faulk furs!!! It was a complete 😮 surprise to my 2 ND sister & myself. Dad told us he would be giving our mother a tiny break while we wet to the springs!!! She also was caring for our 3 rd and youngest baby sister Sheryl. It was a prior arrangement!!! With our new fake coats, we drone to the springs. Denise b o y c e had arranged with my father to allow me to drive dad's car to go sight seeing while she took care of Patty. She was so encouraging to me as I had taken not only high school drives education but my grandmother paid for private driving lessons . I soared & eventually got my very 1 st California state license !!! I & patty went on our ride on the palm springs aerial tram; & it was cold at the top. The springs are no longer homes totally to the elites of. " Hollywood ", I would not recognize it now !!! It was beautiful then & I'm certain that now even stich more! I guess I've gone on 4 too too 2 long now. That trip was a real treat & a terrific thrill !!! Go & visit ---- 👎--- now !!!!!

March is a great time to be there. I was only in Palm Springs once, in March 1987 for Spring Break. I just remember swimming in the hotel pool with temps in the 80's while seeing the snow topped mountains in the background. The mountains are quite high and far away - but visually, they appear to be so close!

This is an awesome video of Palm Springs. We had been going to PS for many years until just before the covid crisis. We were lucky to enjoy most of what is shown here prior to 2020. ..but sadly much has changed - even just before covid. The hotels were sold off or changed hands to the new breed and prices skyrocketed. The old feels have dissappeared My partner & I and many friends who were regulars like us for many years cannot afford the QUADRUPLED prices ! in even in the modest of hotels/motels. Its ridiculous..greed has replaced the old world charm. Its still a beaut town but the old vibe has gone.

@craigjackson24282 жыл бұрын
Well done promotion! But thanks for the reaffirmation of the old charm. Many years that's attracted me to Palm Springs. Palm Springs was low key oasis, my favorite getaway. Now with direct air service, the dynamics have changed to become highly priced. Been monitoring air services prices along with hotel resort cost. I really have to look elsewhere. Fond memories of Palm Springs and the old charm I beloved for many years.

My girlfriend and I (from Maryland) visited Palm Springs about 3 years ago in their off-season and absolutely enjoyed it. This was before the word ''pandemic'' was ever mentioned in polite society. She often talks about going back,..but,...I talk her out of it. Sometimes in life, you can't repeat a once-in-a-lifetime experience,...and that was what we had in Palm Springs.

'Hipsters, Hipsters, Hipsters. Wonderful. Yeah...She was Once a very cool, 'secret', glamorous Place. Feeling is now....She's turned into a Las Vegas/Disney/'Only-the-Wealthy' Playground. I miss the Old PS's. Imagine what it was like mid-century! Just looks like a kind of snotty, 'waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced Hipster/Millennial Turf now. A brilliant video with updated images which is refreshing. I feel that you could have mentioned the diversity of PS especially as there are a huge number of LGBT people living and visiting plus there’s party-central Arenas. Also, perhaps a mention of the misogyny aspect of the Forever Marilyn sculpture which cause some a lot of anxiety. Otherwise, a great video and I look forward to more.

I will be going to Palm Springs soon to check it out. I am trans also .. wouldn't be able to afford it but I'd be living out of my vehicle. At last, a video with narrative! The only thing I’d highly recommend though, is that everyone viewing this video DOES NOT MAKE $5000/week or more. Where is a video for down to earth, regular, common man? Too many videos are “bling” and luxurious, sadly. Nice job, but this automatically rules MANY decent middle folk out.
