Just raising the rev limiter won't do anything to the torque numbers, a lot of people don't understand why. The motor will reach its peak torque at lower RPM, so the changes to the rev limiter won't affect torque, as Ken showed on the dynographs. It takes other modifications to raise the torque. But smaller displacement motors don't usually have crazy amounts of torque anyways, so if you're wanting lots of torque go big displacement, not a mod motor.

@vincentdecarlo98125 жыл бұрын
A intercooler and a interchiller are 2 different types of systems. The Gt500 has a intercooler setup like all supercharged cars. Maybe you need to do some investigating yourself on the Dodge Demon setup. When you have a interchiller system, you have no intercooler at all. The interchiller runs off your AC system, it uses freon to cool the coolant that is pumped to the Supercharger and is cycled through the system. So does the 2020 GT500 have a interchiller....no I doesn't, it has a intercooler that has coolant pumped through it and is cycled through the system.
@bluecollardaily26765 жыл бұрын
@@vincentdecarlo9812 jesus any PD blower has an air to water heat exchanger and intercooler brick...the Demon and Hellcat were special in that they can use AC compressor to cool below ambient air temps. The GM cars ( look at complete speed channel) done at complete speed using the brand name " Interchiller " is able to get UNDER ambient and return to under being literally cold to the touch by the time he hits the pits after a pass. I inquired if I could install their system on my 19 and was told NO because of the type of AC compressor Ford uses. Perhaps instead of using the brand name interchiller I should have used the term active cooling vs passive or something but yea this shit will heat soak in a heart beat and lose significant power to it's already low rated power due to elevated IAT in real world conditions except those cars outfitted with activating cooling that can lower the IAT at or below ambient temps without the hood up and a bag of ice for 2hrs....aka real world....that's a huge bonus for the RedEye make the GT500 hot lap haha....or if met on the street after stop and go for 20 mins in 95 degree weather one would still put out its 797hp the other wont even be in its 760hp ball park. Oh well would have been nice. I'm still researching a unit that will work on my 19 besides a big ass water tank to add ice to in the trunk....

Most people don’t want to do a comparison because they are distributors for the company I can understand that but people would like to know the truth how do you compare one supercharger to the other if you’re going to spend $10,000 on a supercharger you should know the truth and what would work for you

That said I've run prochargers on street and I got to say my car is active shutter car so they shut off at speed and I dont get that instant cooling however the Edelbrock cooling brick is massive it definitely cools better than same level power whipple I mean I back to back do 1/8th miles pulls I'm going to put it all together stage 1 vs stage 2 soon with ambient ect and IAT in the telemetry over the videos.... On my F1A-94 procharger on my BBC I just used total seal gapless top AP SS rings and tossed the intercooler period..on 93 it will do 1200 on a little meth injection for years already. It goes up in boost faster but down off boost the second I'm moving actually returns to its degrees over ambient immediately...I've had a meth pump go out twice and engine lived...but was only around 1100hp then once was winter...that helped a LOT...now all I did is a hard pull...i see what the IAT rise is even in 95 ambient on a pull with meth going it...the second I got WOT it cools then slowly thru a pull gets back to say 10 over ambient...so I just have a monster timing pull curve in it about 15 degrees over the max I see during a run if pump quits it noses over ( also have duty cycle alarms ect AFR shut downs glory of stand alone) I've found it to be SO trouble free I don't have to give 2 shits about an intercooler, I have 2618 blower pistons and infinity gap...the F1A-94 is insanely efficient so it just runs about same over ambient as my mustang does cruising which is under what a whipple does with standard heat exchanger ( I have no fans or over sized exchanger ). I hit it the ECU takes care of it if meth quits the BBC 2618 pistons and infinite gap rings absorb the heat the 2 times that's happened over last 4 years....and during winter I run 87 on it around 1000 no worries at all i dont swap back to 93 till the highs get back in upper 70s to lower 80s...lol...it so maintenance free...I'll say this spend the time with a laser to get the pulleys lined up or belts will give you a nightmare on a coyote tuning 7800...( my BBC is short stroke long rod I've turned it 7500). People you see with belt issues generally dont have it laser straight and for my running a side slinger I made my own adjustable Jack bolt with a $4 piece of all thread against the core support never tossed one again. No slip out of D1x or F1A-94 super efficient..... Anyway what I like about the Edelbrock is cool consistent power that you cant even tell is on there my car is all stock and with 3.15s I drove to 4hrs round trip to doctor few weeks ago still got 27mpg round trip back to house....its literally like stock till you smash it and they use an adjustable pill system to delay torque when you want on street ect and with that in feels like a PD Centri hybrid ...and the people are awesome there

However they kept the literature md publications unchanged. Ford also overrates their power in the performance vehicles because they use MICHIGAN 93/94 octane fuel which is becoming more and more rare every month nationwide. Infact many states do not have anything over 91 octane anymore.. This new GT500 will still not be good off the line, affords biggest problem, not getting its performance cars to hook up.
