Как ни странно, здесь есть работа по разработке ПО не смотря на скромные размеры городишки! Очень полезная инфа для разработчиков. Вне Окленда кампаниям очень тяжело найти работника, поэтому они готовы спансировать визу и не особо капризничают когда ты не знаешь какой-то технологии, потому как РАБОТАТЬ НЕКОМУ. Поэтому для тех кто ищет работу без визы, приехав на языковые курсы например, рекомендую искать вакансии именно в таких городах.

when she said about NZ, "its not what you know, its about who you know", that threw a totally different meaning if in Malaysia.. who you know might meant that..you need to know somebody who got influence at the place you intend to work at (ie: you need to be someones's sons/daughter/nieces etc0 to secure the job.. well..most of the time anyway.. btw, i'm an MU student. Still writing my thesis. Cheers.
