Jackiedion Just because you don't think she's beautiful that doesn't mean that other people think the same. I for one think she is beautiful, and since beauty is in the eye of the beholder we'll just have to agree to disagree.

She's really not humble, I met her at a airport, she was so rude to me

tamara hen So? She doesn't owe you anything? We all want to believe that being famous means you should constantly be accessible and lovely to everyone, but we all have shit days... Im sure people have said the same about you in the past. Not being a white knight kiss ass, but you cant judge how humble someone is because once you met her at an airport?

@TheSavageBoatHouse10 жыл бұрын
Who is honestly bothered about the faces she is making?! It shows she is putting real emotion in to the song, she is feeling the words as she sings them rather than blankly reading out some verses she learned off by heart. This is the way TO sing and it's the way we all would be singing if we were really feeling the words :) Also, I LOVE the way she changed it from "he" to "I will take me right out your way"......girl can do it herself and doesn't need to rely on another man to come save her :)
@MrDFJohnson7 жыл бұрын
TheSavageBoatHouse actually the faces she's making are part of her black "soul" singer imitation. she's seen black singers do that, so she does it.

Paloma is stunning! I've been a big fan of hers for a good 2 years now and her new album, 'A Perfect Contradiction' is by far the greatest. People who say she looks in pain or odd when she sings its because shes enforcing passion into her music. Thats something rare that you don't see many artists do these days.

Oh yes Paloma can sing amazing live. Puts a great deal into each performance. Saw her live here in my home town. Certainly worth going to see her . Was with my niece, what a laugh she was a little tips and we had super time listening to Paloma. She danced on piano in huge heels and her voice projected to back of venue. To do that you have to be able to sing or people would not go. There was a huge audience. Thank you for all the great music and song. To Paloma and her great band.Wow factor for certain. Thank you so very much.

We need to spread her music all over social media the best that we can and would someone out there in the music world bring this AMAZING MUSICAL GODDESS TO THE UNITED STATES!! I think they might be intemidated by her and probably a little bit scared as they should be , but we meed her over here. Talent beyond compare and I am her biggest fan. Paloma Faith is amazing.

The problem is too many people are too used to watching so-called "singers" who cant actually sing, who use autotuned mics to sound ok or miming to a pre-recorded track or can only sing a few notes in a non-challenging octave. So when they see someone actually singing for real and the expressions they make while singing - that is REALLY SINGING - they don't understand what they're looking at and think it's strange so they insult it. They are conditioned to think singing takes no effort. SO poor Paloma here who is very very pretty and a great singer is getting insulted all over her videos by people who really should just stick to watching the autotuned stuff instead of getting their panties in a wad over things they don't understand. Cheers
@CruciatusVXS10 жыл бұрын
I see what you mean, but 2:54 isn't really singing, neither is 3:27...
@hsmith118010 жыл бұрын
Seems fine to me but if there's any problem with her vocals at those points those are the perils of singing live especially with hardly any backing so your vocals stand out like a shag on a rock. Usually, if an artist dares sing raw vocals at all there's lots of other noise covering any mishaps. Just like if the guitarist plays a bum note it usually goes un-noticed in the general music - even more so than vocals.
@CruciatusVXS10 жыл бұрын
***** Dude, I've just said it isn't really singing! Those aren't mistakes at all, she's not trying to carry out a melody there, she's doing all this funny "whoa-whoa" on purpose. Perhaps that's what annoys the others?
@bearwhitethenerd10 жыл бұрын
Not to mention most music videos, which mainly feature the singer lip-synching/barely moving her lips for fear she isn't pouting enough....

Wasn't too sure about her at first, but credit where it's due, this is an astonishing performance. Vocally and visually she's right on it. Agree with comment below from h Smith re attuning - none of that here. Just a real gutsy performance where thankfully she 's on top top form. Excellent.

People can say whatever they want about how Paloma Faith sings, that while making faces or sounds a little off key or rough around the edges, or copies Amy Winehouse (which she doesn't) So they find little things to criticize. Personally, for my taste, she's what I call a natural vocalist and a charismatic performer, always interesting and ever-changing... she tackles many different genres... something other performers will not or fear doing altogether. She puts her heart and soul into her performances and by doing so she has many different expressions in her art...that's how you define a real and true artist. most of the negative comments I have read are petty things just nitpicking by people who obviously already carry around a huge chip on their shoulders. She is an incredible singer and a talented and funny individual. People love her for her always positive and bubbly personality off stage and light-hearted comedic persona onstage. But to add more to her credit she's one hell of a singer. Whether singing the larger venues or in a club, she always gives 100%. There's an old saying which I'm sure everyone has heard..." If you don't like something or someone keep it to yourself... nobody wants or needs any more negativity in their lives. It shows ignorance and envy of someone you see has achieved success where you've failed. It makes you sound stupid... if you have nothing nice then say nothing at all. It's better to remain silent than to speak and remove all doubt of your low self-esteem. I'm so happy for her on the birth of her new baby. Congratulations Paloma...
