Just be advised, you won't be able to make a saddle for Shadowbeak until level 47, so you'll want to have a high-level person make you one, or you'll be walking for 28 levels waiting for it.

FYI, Helzephyr spawns 100% of the time at the gobfin fast travel, Gobfin Beach or w/e its called. There's always 2 or 3 if you travel there at night.

Quick note for the passive pals like daedream and dazzi: the command 'don't attack' also works on them, not just the active pal. Found that out by accident, but up til that point I just thought I had to catch them before they killed the thing. Wasted so many damn balls...

You can catch Grizzbolt before level 19 at the wildlife sanctuary 1, where the journal suggests you to go catch the Eikthyrdeer Terra. You’ll still need Helzephyr but that will cut out some breeding and pals

Astegon is not the best miner. It gets suck on trees, it gets stuck in the hotspring, it gets stuck in each other. Everytime I tp to my mining base I find them hungry injured and weakened. I got tired of reseting them everyday and subbed in Blazemuts. Blazemuts are fuken nice. They don't get stuck on anything and help with furnaces when there's no more nodes to farm.

After giving my Shadowbeak the alt. skin, I (I think fittingly) named him: "Lucifer" because of Divine Disaster 1 & 2. In a theme of falling stars & the alt skin makes him look like an angel.

I love the breeding. I bred a Felaris with Runner, Swift, Stronghold Strat, Vanguard. She is SOOOOO Fast. I had bred my way to Ragnahawk with those features days earlier. So, got lucky, got Jortuntide Ignis out of egg. Was right off the main island from the refuge. Ragnahawk fits thru the dungeons, pass the riffraff and get straight to loot n boss. I had to build 3 viewing cages to free up space, juiced as many as I could. Lol

You forgot to mention that you need to be level 47 in order to get the shadowbeak and astegon saddle. So even though you can get them early you can’t use them as a mount until your almost max level.

This will be very helpful, I've been breeding to pick up some Pals i missed along the way, Shadowbeak being one of them. I've also came across one interesting thought along my way of breeding: What is the most amount of unique pal species you can obtain via breeding with only two pals to begin with? I've been tempted to try this for myself but i haven't had time to follow up with it.

You can start at lv19, but you'll be able to build the saddle by the time you get the optimal passive combination, acceptable IV, enough spares to condense to max, and enough souls to max.

I did the math and once you get one creature helzephr tier , I got Pyrin Noct out of an egg I found, it does not matter which one, you can backtrack a tree to Shadowbeak. I did the same thing with just a Pyrin Noct. I have beaten only first boss and bred my way to level fifty. Took me a day to breed Shadowbeak ( well the first day to do the breeding tree) Cryolynx is the hard one and I’m doing him today. Turns out you get just as much exp bonus for breeding a Pal as you do from capturing it.

getting mossanda at lvl19 is not easy in any way. And for the cake you will also need a chiken, a cow, and a bee, the bee being an explosive ass to get.

It’s not though. You get the same experience breeding a pal including the capture bonuses as you do catching one in the wild. I hit level fifty just breeding my Shadowbeak and maxing the number of the high tier pals. The only problem I hit is I ran out of tech points for their gear. I got all the materials just making and selling nails to the traders near the volcano. Took me one real day to breed a Shadowbeak And hit Level fifty. I just need tech points now so I’m running all the bosses and fast travel points today. ( I’ve only explored about a fifth of the map and killed the first boss. It does not have to be a Helzepher. If you get Any pal of that tier you can make a breeding tree path to all the top tiers. It’s just a lot of math

@@puppybasket3906If you're that high level, just go around the Sanctuaries to check the chests for loot. They'll usually have either Accesoiries or Technical Manuals in them. The 2 end-of-dungeon chests also have a decent chance at dropping Technical Manuals. And a High Grade Technical Manual is 1 'free' Tech point you can spend on unlocking stuff. And if you can get Lyleen, its drop table contains the Innovativa Tech Manual. Which gives 2 Tech points on use. So... Do with that knowledge as you will.

You need to do a video on Incineram it's secretly broken but everyone sleeps on it because it's regarded as an early game trash enemy. Hellfire claw is a 2-hit 70 base damage exclusive move. Making it effectively 140 damage in a short period of time. Icineram's partner skill is also a seperate cooldown for the same move but it can be upgraded meaning the damage can go even higher. It's also fire damage so flame emperor can be applied to it.

Yeah, and he's easy to breed. In hard mode, where hatching eggs are too long, it helps that his egg is not big in size. But to balance him, he got 2 elemental weaknesses, dragon and water. His noct version has no elem benefit from fire, which is his exclusive skill.

honest question, why breed an OP dark type that is only good against neutral type? also if your going for a specific type build pal its actually better to go for the passive that corresponds with the type for example flame emperor for fire type, those passives actually give you 20% damage with those type moves.

Yah they have too many breeding combinations. I only have 4 bosses and 4 to breed (one from a boss) left to get in the game. This is hard because the Lifemunk Effigies are not working right and mine is maxed at level 10. My character is level 50 and my base level 20. I also have all the Pal Gear unlocked through level 30 so far, but only about half are actually built. Sadly I have only found 3 Lucky Pals and killed one of them and I have yet to find ANY legendary schematics. I have avoided using any glitches and hacks.

Not worth the time and effort. Shadowbeak's signature attack unlocks only at level 40. He can be mounted only at level 47. He's useless as working pal with lvl1 harvest. It would take way too long to breed out negative passives like "coward" "glutton" "clumsy" that always come with Cattiva and Relaxaurus. At level 20 he's a dead weight.

If you try to get some good passives on it you‘ll end up breeding a lot more and get 10 of a lot of different Pals that way which will level you up quickly. I started breeding as soon as I could in the early 20s and tried to get every good passive except for Legend (because I couldn‘t access that yet) and 100 IV on every stat (viewable in game thanks to a mod). When I finally got a Shadowbeak (and all the other Pals along the way) with Musclehead, Ferocious, Lucky and Swift (placeholder until Legend) and 100 IV on every stat - I was already Level 42. And because I condensed all the rejects that didn‘t inherit the right passives or perfect IVs, I could also immediately get them up to 4 stars.

The best flying mount aside from Jetragon is Faleris, not Shadowbeak. Shadow may be faster, but Faleris covers several times the distance before running out of stamina.
