I remember having an out-of-body experience, except that I wasn't dead. It happened in the middle of the night. I felt myself floating in the air and saw my body still lying in bed, diagonally across the room. Strangely, I felt that I wasn't alone. Slowly, I floated back into my body, and I became aware of how I was lying in bed. Surprisingly, I just continued sleeping (or maybe I was too afraid to get up). I used to experience a lot of spiritual attacks at night. It got so intense at one point that I became too afraid to sleep. However, after I became a Christian, the attacks have decreased significantly, to the point where they’re almost nonexistent. Praise & thank God!

This case of near death experience throws the usual skepticism out the window. You can't argue "well, it was just a self induced drug trip by a stressed brain." No. There were no brain waves, no synaptic chemical reactions. Nothing that would make it possible for the brain to impose that image upon itself.

I’ve been an atheist for many years. I THOUGHT I was totally subscribed to the materialist view of existence. But I find it impossible to casually reject and dismiss the accounts of NDE experiencers, especially as so many have nothing to gain by telling us all what happened to them. You have to have been clinically dead to have had an identical experience to Pam's. It may have had similarities, but it wasn't the same thing. You were alive and your brain was fully functioning when the ketamine acted on it. Pam had no brain activity whatsoever and her cortex was off. Also what she experience doesn't fit the description of a hallucination as hallucinations are random, hers was a very cogent experience. Her brain was completely shut down during it as well. Best wishes.

That's what physicians do. Patients have to sign all kinds of forms prior to the procedure as well. Moreover, even if a doctor didn't explain this to me, you'd better believe that I'd research it myself before I underwent a surgery like this, especially one I may not wake up from. What I've been thinking a lot lately is about the actual brain. If it's dead, how can it be that people come back and remember everything? I thought memories were stored in a part of the brain. That part of the brain is dead during all of these NDE's. How can a person be resuscitated and have memory of what happened AFTER the brain died. And if consciousness really does exist after death, shouldn't we stop cremating bodies and be preserving the brain from rotting underground?

The heavenly light seen on Sunday, August 22nd 2017, at 14.30, in a service in the church Óháði söfnuðurinn in Reykjavík Iceland. I have seen and felt the heavenly light energy from God through my fifth eye through my third eye. Big white bright shining light to me sending gold folding on the edges towards me from the other side and through a hole. Like two worlds. Gold moving like small lines and brighting movements going one. I did see this with my eyes closed for two minutes - within made me feel so much loved and cared for, safe and expanded my soul and spirit within - time: the two minutes passed like this and still going on the gold flooding from the other side to us. At our side the wall was black endlessly to all sides. My side black and the hole opened and stating sending this light energy. This happened in church when the priest was starting to pray for some people and also for my family. The preast Petur Thorsteinsso was sitting on he floor and four people lying on the floor forming a cross from him. He praised about ten minutes. The light was brighting too like it was a life. I got scared a little after the two minutes and then opened my eyes to see if the light would be there again when I closed them. It was gone but inside me a big changing happened got stronger then ever and not afraid of dying at all. Still today January 28th 2019 I am feeling it in me, Knowing the truth of our life and about heaven and God. Why me? Why God chose me is probably because of my difficult life during this time. My life change a lot since this happened to me to the better. Since this I have been full filled in life. My spirt change enormously. Deep within us we are just not alone and together on a journey here on Planet Earth. Love your knowledge more, believe in God and connect and you will hopefully find the heavenly light too in you. There are some points you need to realize when studying the case of Pam Reynolds: 1) When Reynolds heard someone say that her arteries were too small, she wasn't entirely hooked up to the hart-lung machine. At that time she was only under general anesthesia. The anesthesia is often incomplete which makes the patient only partially unconscious and it can also cause dysphoric effects like confusion about the position within the body. This seems to point out that her supposedly "Near Death Experience" started hours before her "actual death", and if the operation had been cancelled for some reason, many of her "death" experiences would still have occurred, even though she would only have received an anesthetic. 2) An EEG is not 100% reliable. Sometimes there is activity in the brains which isn't being registered by the equipment. 3) The speakers in the ears do not stop all external sounds. People with earplugs can still hear sounds from their environment. 4) People who believe in NDE often misrepresented the exact period of Reynolds cardiac arrest. The real timeline of the operation shows that her brain was inactive for 5 to 6 minutes tops, and there is no proof that she had any experiences or memories during this exact period, but during the rest of the hour-long operation instead. Her experiences before and after her cardiac arrest could have been perceived as one cohesive experience: loss of consciousness would not necessarily have disrupted her hallucinations. Most people do not experience or remember the interruptions between being awake, dreaming and waking up again.
@timberdome64829 жыл бұрын
+Thrillseeker303 aka Ava. Like many so called sceptics, I'm afraid you are not in possession of the facts about this case. BTW.. ONLY.. under general anaesthesia ? :) General anaesthesia is a drug induced COMA which flattens brainwaves ( to varying degrees) .But ...in this operation, Pam was placed in the deepest anaesthetic state possible, given thiopental barbiturate infusion in sufficient quantities to establish burst suppression early in the operation, before any of her observations occurred. With burst suppression, consciousness is not possible (FACT) so it is quite IMPOSSIBLE for Pam to have been aware in any shape or form physiologically. Not only that she had 100 decibel clicking nodules in her ears (testing the integrity of her brainstem) about the sound level of a jack hammer.Her brain WAS completely inactive when she observed the bone saw and heard the conversation about her femoral arteries being too small for canulation. Pam's heart was stopped further on in the operation (standstill) for a period of one hour. These are the facts of the case as told by Dr Spetzler and suggesting that she was hallucinating is a non starter. Everything she saw and heard was correct and timed to the specific point in the operation and therefore cannot be a hallucination. I do wish "sceptics" and "commenters" in general who don't find the idea of a separating consciousness possible, would stop trying to supply the public with misinformation in order to influence the debate. Facts are facts, like it or not.
