I first heard this at Stevens funfair in 1983. They played it a lot and I managed to record it there. I really wanted this song. I played the tape I made at Rounder Records in Brighton, they knew what it was and I bought it!

Wow and completely forgot about this club hit. Used to hear this all the time when I started going to clubs in San Francisco in the early 80s. This was a new style of music for me and grew up on funk and soul. Probably was new music for many that were in their early 20s and getting exposed to this style of music. It was exciting to be young and going to clubs on the weekends. Buying new clothes and getting all dressed up to head out to the clubs. This was also the start for my generation of designer jeans and clothes. You had to be there and San Francisco was party central during those times and everyone lived for the weekends in the clubs.

I met both James Lee and Pamala when they were singing weeknights at the Shadow Brook restaurant in Capitola in the early 70's. Saw Pamala sing a few times in NYC late 70's and James a couple times around the country since them. Dynamic brother/sister talents!!

Yay, somebody else thinks you're a genius! (in your byline). This is really wonderful, congratulations on your skill at this. Brilliant, Grant. That time when the cute dancers do that thing where they spin around and do three 1/8 note handclaps. clap clap clap . Do you know what other video the dancers do that very same move? Probably hundreds, now that I thik about it This is going to plague me the rest of the evening. LoL Great work .
