Eurobeat can be fast like DjNRG or slow like Pamela and Eskimo and be really beautiful. After 1992, they mostly lost it.

It got faster and faster - and virtually unplayable after 1993. Some of the later Time Records stuff is awful.

It puzzles me that this type of music was made as late as 1991. I always thought the whole Eurobeat died in 1989. By 1990 It was all Italo House and Technotronic. Then 2Unlimited and such.

It remained popular in Japan (but still produced in Italy) throughout the 90s and beyond - see endless Super Eurobeat compilations. There seems to be an awkward tempo-shift at the start of the decade, then I guess influence from Euro Dance made Eurobeat what it remains today. My uneducated opinion.
