What can you "access" easily by QR but not by the 10-character identifier (PAN number)? How is it more user friendly? The only use I made of the old card was to get a photocopy of it and attach it to any form that required it. How is the new card more user friendly? The tax related process becomes smoother and more efficient by printing a QR! The earlier process used 10 characters so it was cumbersome? My details can be verified by QR but not by the old PAN number? QR can make the system paperless but PAN cannot? A single digital platform for all the pan related services couldn't be made for the old PAN card? It is a revolutionary upgrade for a thousand crore rupees, but did I miss something here?

😂😂😂 Railway Minister is doing the shit of Finance Minister. Does Mrs Sitaraman knew about this new 2.0 pan card at all??? Anyway I am very happy for now. At least first time I have stayed one step ahed then Modi. I mean lost my wallet in 2019 along with my PAN card. So, I made a new one with same number from a legal website by paying about 150 or loke that including delivery charges. I got that with my latest photo, a new design and a QR code with same old number. And first time in life I am not filling regret for losing my wallet. Now every other Indian has to run from post to pilar to get one with new QR code. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

India should learn from UAE Emirates ID fully digitized and robust minus SCAMS is linked to all important Govt institutions, banks, hospitals( provides updated health info irrespective of the hospital one visits ) pharmacies, incl airports ( wherein there's no immigration !!!) Only gates, which will scan the card and ones eyes, Drivers licence etc. Senior residents travel FREE in public transport with specially designed cards for additional discounts in malls and stores etc

You can get one with new QR code by 3rd party legal web sites. You have to provide the details of the original card and deposit the fees to the bank and send the filled form to the address provided by the website. Within 2 or 3 weeks you will get one just like me who lost the original physical copy to pickpocket.
