Good afternoon sir! Tbh i didn't expect a bread of the dead to be the next video on the list but it is quite cool hearing little tidbits of history. On a side note, i wonder if it's traditional to add raisins to the bread surface as toppings? I'd expect such a soft yet dense cake would go well with raisins

Good afternoon, and good question! The version of Pan de Muerto we made in this episode is traditionally topped with just sugar or sesame seeds. Some regions do change it up a bit with colored sugar, but as far as I know raisins aren't typically included(though it does sound delicious!) There are a quite a few other variations of bread offerings in latin american regions/countries that are topped with other stuff though, so who knows! I've even heard of a few savory versions!

Durians originated from south east asia, the variety that's grown in hawaii is imported from possibly thailand
