I find the buffet very expensive, do the near by malls have western style cafe breakfast.

Yep. You'll find Western and "toast-and coffee" joints at surrounding malls: Marina Square, Millenia Walk and Suntec City. Then there's Chijmes, CityLink Mall and Raffles City. So many malls in the area. You can also visit familiar chains like Costa Coffee, McDonalds, Starbucks and Subway. For more local flavours, there's BreakTalk, Toastbox and Ya Kun Kaya outlets, along with congee places, noodle spots and roti stalls. Lots of options to try!
