I wasn't there in 1987, when my father, the late Krishna Soogrim-Ram and the Malick Tassa Drummers accompanied the then Catelli Trinidad All Stars, but I was proud of this accomplishment which was talked about for many years. 28 years later I am again proud to have been in my father's position, again accompanying the Massy Trinidad All Stars at the 2015 International Panorama Competition, where the Band was awarded First place.

The slow/groovy versions of Panorama tunes was a serendipitous discovery made on Friday 29th February 1987 into the wee hours of Saturday 30th when Leon "Smooth" Edwards, arranger for Trinidad All Stars was still finalizing 'Curry Tabanca' for the band by integrating tassa rhythms into the ending of the song. I extracted this excerpt from my recording and published it as the forerunner to others such as Woman on the Bass, Fire Down Below, Panama, Guitar Pan, Ah Goin an Party Tonight, Special Brew, etc. The result is 'Pan Sweet Pan'.
