CCP SYK Clinches 1st Place in the 2023 Panagbenga Cultural Dance Competition
The UC CCP Saeng Ya Kasay (SYK) Cultural Ensemble wins the Grand Prize, besting 16 other competitors, in the 2023 Panagbenga Flower Festival Cultural Dance Competition on February 25, 2023.
The SYK featured the story of Kanag from the Province of Abra. With magic, he turned himself into a bird and served his people as an emissary of destiny. Finding his purpose, he promised himself not to be human again. However, when he saw a lady bearing the beauty of an enchantress, he fell in love. He restrained himself from his commitment to not becoming human again, for what could not be done in the name of love?
