Panama Canal Cruise - Day 8 Rainy Sea Day

Hi Cruisers,
Welcome to day 8 of our Caribbean Princess Panama Canal cruise. We had a lot of fun on this sea day, and we were out and about frolicking in the rain most of the time. Unfortunately the majority of cruise vlog footage we captured was ruined by either wind or rain on the lens. We were able to collect enough for this short, but hopefully fun little video. We start off with a look at the crazy storm that dominated most of the day. My son loved watching the rain on our balcony, and would wait for breaks in the storm to splash and dance in the puddles. We decided it would be fun to film him, and we loved the result. While we were hanging out in the room, I decided to take a look at the room service menu, and I was shocked to see how reasonable the liquor prices were. We'll give you a look at ordering in-room liquor and making your own drinks with the help of room service and a few juice mixers!

Thanks for sharing the tip about the room service liquor. I knew they had it but didn't know how much or how big. The size you got is perfect! I, myself, just dump the liquor in the glass and eyeball it :) Hope Emerald Princess is like the Caribbean Princess. This was a fun video. Your son sounds so cute... good job, son :)

The pools closed so you don’t get struck by lightning. I love being in the jacuzzi on a ship when it’s raining. I’m usually the only one. Grand Cayman was one of my favorites. Swimming with the sting rays was the best. The island guys that feed them lye them on your back. Makes a great photo. It’s a great experience.

Great video!! I am used to tropical weather - but enjoyed seeing you guys enjoying the pouring rain!! And your junior production assistant did an awesome job with KID CAM (and balcony rain dancing)!! Thanks for sharing the info on purchasing the alcohol thru room service (the small bottles of sparkling wine/champagne were very popular)!! I think the room service delivery person was thrilled to be in your video - he didn’t even blink when you handed the bottle of gin to your son (LOL)!! You did a great job making the best of a rainy day at sea - although if there was lightning- I wouldn’t recommend you being out on deck or in the hot tub!! This was a perfect sea day for a Panama Canal Cruise!!

You guys should go on a Disney Cruise for your son.They are absolutely amazing for all ages.you can drop your son off at the oceaneers club with fun activities like cooking ,Dressing up like pirates and much more.While he’s gone you and your husband are at Remy or palo.Or at the adults only pool

Really enjoyed your video. Laughed a lot when you were pouring your capful of Bombay Sapphire! I love Tanqueray gin but have never tried Bombay, it's a to do thing now to try it. We booked a January 2020 12-day Caribbean cruise out of New Orleans for a deposit of $2 on the Norwegian Getaway! Isn't that crazy! Got the big balcony for about $2500, really crazy! I love the CTTV bar! That is a great tip to save money since you can get more drinks out of the bottle. If I ever forget my dollar store kiddie flasks filled with adult beverages I will be sure to do this instead.

Awesome! A couple years ago we ordered bottles on Celebrity. I think I paid about $55-60 for a 1 liter bottle of Tangueray and that included a six pack of mixer (tonic).

I thought it was kind of strange that we set our clocks back for Costa Rica and then never got to visit it. So we ended up with 2 sea days on the way to Grand Cayman. On the plus side we had perfect weather the whole time. Except for a one tiny little shower at Tortuga Rum Factory on Grand Cayman, about 15 minutes. I never even looked at the room service menu the whole time.

Hey! Love your channel! Do you have a video on what to bring for cash? I have been watching you for months preparing for my first cruise. I see a lot of differing amounts for what people suggest bringing for cash. Your videos have taught me a lot would love your advice on this!

We don’t have a video on that but it something that we talk about a lot on her channel. We recommend that you take at least a few hundred dollars in cash because ATM fees on cruise ships are very expensive. You can always just save the money that you don’t spend. Better to go over prepared
