Panama City, Panama - trip to the grocery store

This is our first trip to grocery store in Panama City, Panama.

OMG, Krispy Kreme! Living in The Gambia we don't get as many goodies here. Plan on visiting Panama/Costa Rica soon.

I have lived in Panama City for about 5 years after coming from Florida. The grocery stores here are hit or miss as far as prices. Super 99 and Super Xtra will have similar pricing and Riba Smith has excellent quality, but the prices can be very high. Do not ever buy seafood from any of these stores. Go to the "seafood market" which is not far from you. You can get everything and pay nothing for it. Pargo rojo or red snapper is about $4 -5 per lb versus $25 in the US. Shrimp is about $3-6 per lb depending on size.

Yes I did go to Riba Smith. Loved the variety there. Seafood is so cheap and so good. Thanks for watching.

Those prices in the grocery store are a lot less expensive than any grocery store in the East Coast cities in the states.
