I try to maintain the method in which it was relayed to me... however there are some aspects that I often expand upon or adjust. More importantly, I try to give credit where credit is due! Thank you Rebecca... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This is awesome stuff and I like how you do the movements very slowly and deliberately in your videos when demonstrating something. It's important to get the form of the movements locked into your muscle memory and then add speed as you progress. Also I think the music is cool haha

*Panuntukan because it came from the word "Suntok" which means Punch. Panuntukan's technical meaning is Fist fight.
@buckets4527
@buckets4527 3 жыл бұрын
I stand corrected, the martial arts is named Panantukan. Which is technically wrong, atleast for a native speaker. It came from the word "Suntok" which means fist strike, add the prefix "Pa" to form Pa-suntok, which would mean "Can I punch you" or "I will punch you" then add suffix 'an' to the word 'Pa-suntok' to form 'Pa-suntok-an' which would then be reformed to 'Panuntukan to further explicate the context. And it would mean 'to come to a fist fight' or 'to perform or conduct a fist fight'. If you live in the Philippines, especially in the katagalugan area. People who wants a piece of you would come up and say "Suntukan tayo" or "Panuntok tayo" but some areas would say "Sapakan tayo", then both of you would proceed beating each other to death, and it's a nature of man to survive, from fist fighting if both are still unsatisfied, they'd proceed to grab things like knife, dagger, bolo, wood planks, sticks and other weapons, even gun, for the purpose of surviving and winning the fight. And that process is called the 'Panuntukan', or the fist fight or brawl itself, if someone witnessed the both of you fighting, they'd say "Panuntukan na yung dalawa'(The two of them are fist fighting) or 'Nagpapanuntok na yung dalawa'(The two of them are fist fighting) or 'Nag-pangabot na yung dalawa'(You bumped in to each other and fought it out)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of this stance in comparison to Traditional Muay Thai stance ?
@MartialMasculine
@MartialMasculine 8 жыл бұрын
Advantage of this stance is that you are a smaller target (protects the torso and groin) and that you have faster in and out movement.Lead tools are faster, but have less power. Rear tools are given more power and torque from the distance of the shoulder. Lead shoulder also adds in defense by shielding the chin. Disadvantage would be poor lateral movement and balance issues due to profile stance structure. The lead tool becomes significantly less powerful in this stance unlike a square Muay Thai stance which provides power to both sides.
