Good to see laf get the interview with krieds postgame. The confidence laf is carrying himself with is night and day to last season I want to see kakko with the same.

It's been soooo long since Chytil has been on the ice I'd forgotten how good he was becoming! LFGR!!!! Keids, Mika. Laffi, Bread, Troj and Chytil...impressive big 6 moving forward! I haven't given up on Kakko reaching top 6 eventually.

This is a Pacquaio vs. Mayweather bout. Canes come in with a flurry of shots from every angle while the Rangers are patiently waiting to counter punch. I also think this is the reason why the Rangers almost always play close games regardless of their opponent as frustrating as it is at times. Chytil made me emotional. I couldn't believe he was in the line up and he showed some burst especially on the breakaway. I thought he scored and jumped off the couch. He played over 12 important minutes. Remember that he was supposed to be centering Bread and Laffy. Would have had a monster year if not for injuries. But once he gets his legs under him, I'm betting he scores a bunch. The dude loves to shoot every chance he gets. This is a huge boost not just on the ice but in the locker room as well. I have not heard a lot of people praising the Rangers D. Igor is god but man the D has been so solid. Canes did not have a lot of dangerous shots and the D was blocking and scooping up rebounds. Even on a lot of the goals, the D starts with a stretch or outlet pass. Kudos to the 3 units for playing such a solid series and shutting the Canes down. One other thing I'll mention is the fact that the Canes really scored 6 goals so far in the series. They scored two of their 8 goals during a 6-5 empty net situations. Guentzel has 3 of those 6 goals. While the scores and zone time do not reflect it but we have been in control most of the time. I have not felt nervous since game 1.

Ha Man if they’d double shifted Laf and hit the Canes with the kid line for a shift I’d have lost my mind!

Last year’s playoffs is a bad example to compare things to. Gallant had that team in turmoil apparently and no one played up to their potential.

When the Rangers were slumping during the season, I said they had no grit and heart… Now who looks like an ass, me!

Such a weird regular season. Started out super hot couldnt lose. Around turn of year they got ice cold and couldnt win. Then after that 2.5 week dropoff they got red got again and wouldnt lose.

tongue in cheek...Laffi is a terrible presser interview...does not say much of anything. He looks very uncomfortable compared to Chris K. 😂

The puck hit the ref in the corner on the first Canes’ goal. It would have been a rush the other way but Carolina got the puck in deep again
