I bought several of these AG-7350 Studio SVHS machines from a studio clearout in West London a couple of years ago. Here's what's inside!

Nice video, and seriously nice piece of equipment. At 11:41, that is the audio reading\tracking head, and at 11:48 that is the erase head. All-in-all, i envy you for having such nice vhs equipment :)

I have the AG-7510. I wanted to look at the outputs on this machine as well. I love the idea of taking the AG-7510 and recording to digital. It is a monster and weighs about 45 US LBS, but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

For just dubbing off home SVHS stuff I'd recommend an NV-HS1000 or NV-HS950 - which use the same transport. Cheaper, without the editing frills and far lighter! Nice teardown Carls - used to work with them.

I want a s vhs like this real bad. I've used one these before but it was a jvc brand, connected to an mx-1 digital video mixer, that was in the year 2000 when I was in school.

11:40 the rotating head is the rec/play head, the silver one records and reads linear sound and the little black one erases the tape when u press rec

Warum zählt das Zählwerk nicht, wenn Wiedergabe eingeschaltet ist?
Nice vid. Thx man :-) I've bought one on ebay but approx. 10 sec. after turning on it turns off itself. Any ideas? Sounds like Capacitor Problem in the Power supply but I have no idea where to start :-( Thanks in advance!

Depends what's wrong with it. Drop me an inbox with the details and I will do my best to diagnose the fault and recommend what parts to adjust or replace.

Lovely bit-o-kit. Seriously considering on of these at the moment. Can they still be repaired?
@Trusten-rw2st10 жыл бұрын
They are lot more worth, compared to what you said, cost like a small car from new. S-VHS is lot better detail in the images, than VHS !

Carl, recently my AG 7350 VCR has started spitting out the tape a couple of seconds after I load it in. It won't play, rewind or fast forward. Any ideas?

great overview but asking prices are not selling, look for completed sales if you want to determine value.

What's the difference in picture quality or functions of this unit, compared to the Panasonic AG1980 S-VHS unit?
@laboratorioassembler Жыл бұрын
picture quality? if the VHS is recorded with a cheap VCR o r cheap Camera... the player can't do anything to incerase quality... BTW i made every test on this 7350 and the quality is the same of last (2002/2006) cheaper JVC / SONY / SAMSUNG units. maybe the only difference is that if the tape is something like damaged the massive dragging force of the tape can solve a bit slow/fast audio video output on these zones.

What leads do I need to hook up to a standard tv please? Thank you
@CarlsTechShed6 жыл бұрын
From what I remember, it was a standard S-Video cable and two RCA cables for the Left & Right audio output.
