Yes! I have both 900 and 920. The X920 works much better in low light night shot.

@@simonxia4137 these cam's are excellent, did have three of them but sold one on ebay this year and got £275 for it, there still demand for them in 2022, not bad for a 12yr old cam, advanced technology for it's time

@@videocreation5206 Indeed, I've still used my favorite 3CCD HDD camcorder JVC GZ-HD7 with FUJINON fixed lens which was issued in 2007. I am shocked by its color tone.

I still have and use my x900 PROFESSIONALLY!! How? I have an atomos ninja 2 and the x900 has clean HDMI out. Both together produces awesome films, you'd never be able to tell. As long as you know its limitations and understand how to work around them, you can get so much out of it.

@@bernidre The only thing on this series I'm not satisfied with is the skin tone performance and the auto-white balance.

Thanks :) never ever use iA unless your filming a friends party and it doesnt matter. it all has to be manual control mate. these panasonics work best when you turn the iris down so the colours are bold and not washed out. also manual control on sound levels, low and bring the boom in above the actor just out of shot

yes shes an actress, and its a pilot for a sketch show called CHEESE ON TOAST lol. we shoot one sketch a week, loads of different people. we will have a LIE DETECTOR robot who smacks you round the head when you lie, and after we establish him on a lighter scene he is later seen beating the crap out of a DAVID CAMERON look alike for promising more jobs and less tax

Camera aside, who ever the "ditzy blonde" is, I think she could get a job on TV. If an "am dram" artiste, she's not as OTT as some of them can be trying to 'act' for camera. (If a professional, apologies for insulting your status) Methink there may be the start of a pilot there or something!

no light, i used a senheisser MKE300 (that old thing) and boomed very close. i shot myself, boomed myself and everything Graded in magic bullet to a vignette, and UNBLOOMED and then i did spot exposure of about 20 opercent and moved it around to make face and pinks brighter where needed

Could you share if you did this manual focus or if you used facial recognition AF?
@showreel2

Manual on static. if shes walking towards the lens (as its only me doing sound, cam and directing) i used FACIAL RECOGNITION on a wide where her focus point changes

showreel2 Thanks, very helpful to know. Seems like the facial recognition is decent then.

Teddoman oh it is mate, i use it on a steadicam to keep in focus and it does a brilliant job. it may go out for a split second, but as i do another angle i can cut to that there
