Panasonic's Lumix g100 is a small, lightweight microfossad camera, but unlike Panasonic, it has a limit of only about 10 minutes to shoot in a 4K shoot. This was a pity as a camera for VLOG.
But after researching and trying this and that, I found out how the Lumix g100 can also shoot unlimited video time through simple manipulation.
Of course, I would like to inform you in advance that even if you release the recording time limit, you cannot shoot for a lot of time due to battery and heat problems. Nevertheless, I would like to tell you that the fact that there is no time limit for filming is a big step forward.
Then let's solve the recording time limit right away.
0.Before we start, there's something we need to set up in g100 first.
You need to change the settings of the fn button that can be pressed immediately.
There is a place where you can change the fn button method if you go into the setting of g100, and you need to go in there and set AE/AF Lock to press the fn button.
Unlike other Lumix camera models, the g100 does not have an AE/AF Lock button. Therefore, you have to set it up by entering the camera setting with the fn button so that you can press it directly. I set AE/AF Lock for the easy fn4 button.
1. Set the mode dial for g100 to P mode.
2. Setting the recording timeout to be removed
2-1) Turn on the camera with the Right, Display, AE/AF Lock (FN4) keys pressed.
2-2) When the camera is on, release button 1) and press Playback.
2-3) Press the Up, AE/AF Lock key and turn off the power. If the yellow triangle exclamation mark appears, it's a success.
