The RAW file formats are camera specific. So, probably only the supported camera RAW files are editable in the app

Yeah I figured that was probably the case. Bit of a shame if your camera isn't supported. It's a bit pointless otherwise. Hopefully more will get added.

@@stevelitton it took a year for Affinity Photo to support the S5ii. ACDSee's DAM still doesn't! 😡

It took 2 years for them to support the GH6 Raw files. Camera support isn't one of their strong points. I just did a video actually about their latest update with all the camera support. It took long enough.

Do you think this will be available after a fw update to the GH6 or do you think lumix have abandoned it altogether now?

Essentially the app is available to cameras that support real-time LUT. So to have it be available for the GH6 it needs to support LUTs in the same way. I'd like to think this is possible in terms of hardware but I guess people need to push it to Lumix that they want it in the camera.

Hey, I don't pay too much attention to it really. I understand the reality of KZbin and that is heavily driven by manufacturer incentives to creators. The latest Insta360 drama is a good example of that. I would never buy something off the back of watching a KZbin video. It sort of seems like in this instance that Gerald, Caleb etc didn't get invited because they aren't a camera news outlet beyond KZbin and they themselves and by proxy their audiences aren't the market for the camera. From the story he told I got the impression they were trying to spare his blushes by essentially not saying 'your channel and audience is a bit too old and nerdy for this particular marketing launch, we are looking for a cool young audience' 😬 I love both of those channels and I would certainly consider myself not the target audience for the camera.

Looking back on this, it looks likely that Gerald probably wasn't invited because they potentially gave out the GH7 units at that same event and didn't want him near it 😂

does this allow for LUT monitor support? On the Sync app it only seems to display V-LOG which is not particularly helpful when wanting to use the app as wireless video feed for framing shots in video.

No, as far as I'm aware this is currently just for post-processing and doesn't have a remote shooting feature.

In the changelog for the app it does say "[Newly added features in Panasonic LUMIX Lab 1.0.0] New LUMIX digital camera models DC-S9 are now supported." So I guess the G9m2, S5ii, S5iiX support is coming in future updates. You will just have to hold tight and keep an eye out for updates.

Garbage app. After the S9 paired to my iPhone via Bluetooth, it refused to connect via WiFi for transferring LUTs and photos. Useless.
