Super helpful video! Thank you 😊 please could you explain T mode and how it is possible with the camera to take a 20sec pic? Would really appreciate it!! I know it is possible to even shot the milky way with this camera but just can't work out how to do it past the 1sec. Any help, eternally grateful :)

When you set the camera into T mode, you press the shutter button to start the exposure and press again to stop the exposure. I'd suggest using a tripod and also use the Panasonic Image App and control the camera from your smartphone, this will help avoid any camera movement made when physically pressing the shutter button. I recently bought a used lx100 and for some reason it’s stuck in iA-mode. When I hold down the iA button it just changes to video and back. Any idea why?

Not sure why, have you tried to factory reset the camera to see if it resolves the issue? Doing so will restore all settings back to factory defaults.

Hello. Could you tell me why when i set the buttom with iA its turn the camera mode but doesnt change the setting for manual like pasm? When i turn it to video every manual setting like P, M does work. Anyway i can't remove iA, its still working on the photo mode.

Can you set the shutter speed to longer than a minute? Whats the slowest shutter speed you can get?

Yes, change the shutter dial to the T position and you can then press the shutter button to start the exposure and then again to stop the exposure. Use a tripod and/or use the Image App to avoid moving the camera. If my memory serves me well I believe you can take an exposure up to 30 minutes, someone correct me if I am wrong.

@@reflux043 Not exactly. You'll need to start looking at the Panasonic GX800/880 for a small and compact interchangeable lens and GX9 for a fully fledged model. I have an LX100 but also have the GX9 and tend to use the GX9 more. However, the LX100 is a superb compact camera and perfect for when you want small, lightweight and discreet. Olympus and Panasonic share the same mount and you can mix and match bodies and lenses so might be worth checking their range too.

Hello, did you ever experience sensor dust issue with this camera since? Also do you think LX100 will perform better and give better images than A600 with its kit lens? From the samples i see online it seem like LX100 gives better results. Thank you

No, I've had my unit for 2.5 years now and no issues with dust on the sensor. I carry my camera in a case and don't stick it into my jacket pocket. The LX100 and Sony A6000 are completely different cameras and difficult to compare. Note that the LX100 has a fixed lens in the long run the A6000 may give you more versatility. Images will look similar when viewed on displays, unless you pixel peep. You may find though that if you are printing the A6000 will likely yield better results.

excuse my ignorance as it is my first Lumix camera , I am Nikon guy : today I took my LX100 to night photography ...I went into M mode so I set F into 9 , ISO into 200 however I couldn't and shutter dial into T but I couldn't go for more than 1 second ... all pics came underexposed ...do you have solution or explanation ?

Be sure to have silent mode off and use the mechanical shutter not the electronic one.

I Bought a used Panasonic LX100 got in the mail a couple day's ago. Bought 1st camera and sent it back,the flash was set to off and couldn't change it. 2nd camera (this one) flash set to off and can't change it. Not sure what I'm going to do,I do have my D3200 with flash if I need it,I do like this camera. This camera uses a small flash on the hot shoe that uses the camera battery,If another flash that uses it's own power source, will it work in the hot shoe.If so then I would buy a flash. I'll have to call the store and get there thought's,or send it back and buy a brand new camera. Both cameras I did a reset with no luck with the flash.

Make sure you firmly attach the flash to the hot shoe and that you are not in a mode which surpresses the flash. I've used my LX100 with the supplied and other third party flash guns without any issues.

Make sure you have both the aperture and shutter dials are not in the A position and check you are not in the iA mode.

Yes, its not set on any A position nor in iA mode.. Thinking it is probably an error on the diaphragm ring. :(

@@Spicy.janis. Strange, are you able to put your camera into Aperture or Shutter priority mode? - This is merely to test each of the control dials. If so, test to make sure they are working. If the dials are working fine, I'd suggest fully resetting the camera back to factory settings and checking if this makes a difference. This will clear all your settings on the camera and I would recommend saving any pictures from the memory card to your PC before attempting in case.

Yes! I can put them in the other modes but not in manual.. ive already reseted my camera to fabric settings and still i can’t. I also think its very strange but i can’t seem to find whats wrong

The info you offer is great, but it would be helpful if you bring the LX100 closer to the recording camera, difficult to see with glare
