Very interesting I would love to see a comparison with this and the Panasonic HC-VX1 - the VKX is a bit newer has a slightly smaller sensor but slightly bigger photosites so should in theory be better in low light

Hi, Congratulations on your new baby. I think it’s a great camera. After carrying the camcorder for a few months, I realized that I only use it to film wildlife where I need the zoom lens. I don’t need to worry about the camcorder getting hot on long usage and don’t have to mess around with a lot of settings. For casual filming, I just use my phone. Most recent phones come with excellent low light photos|videos and have image stabilization. I think the phone’s latest softwares make up for what they lack in hardware compared to the camcorder.

Yes it can. When you close the screen after hitting record, it will keep recording.

Good video but missing some key features/accessories - Infrared and night modes are excellent, the video stabilization works really well outside, Manual mode allows you to change all three exposure settings - Aperature, shutter and ISO. Accerories to get: Panasonic stereo mic, (allows zoom to be reachable), CAMLink USB to HDMI adapter - allows the camera to be your webcam, (different than live cast). The camera has a 49mm thread on the lense which allows the attaching of wide angle and UV lens products. Last but not least - "Pre-Rec": Allows you to capture scenes like ligtning - This mode puts the camera in a 3 second loop so that when you "see" the ligtning the camera has already been shooting for 3 seconds. This is a feature that is usually only seen on GoPro cams.

1. I haven’t really tested the battery limit, but I have filmed for >1 hour 4K video. You can also plugin power bank while filming 2. No 3. Yes if the selfie stick supports camera mount
